That's freezer tape, but at £19.09 per roll, I think I'll pass!

Oops, didn't notice the postage cost!

Is there such thing as freezer tape here in the UK? It looks like masking tape, but the sticky is designed to hold on even in the freezer. Even the expensive masking tape we have keeps falling off due to the stupid sticky backing not working in the freezer. I've resorted to permanent markers.

hi ive just been reading through the thread and was hoping to join if ok??

  • ohhhh haven't even thought about next week's meals :o will have to get the thinking cap on and come up with something shortly

I started off really well this week but I'm afraid the last 2 days I've not stuck to it (1 day as I had no chicken and yesterday as I just couldn't be bothered to cook :o)

But ... did stick to the other 7 days so that's pretty good going for me!

I've now managed to reorganise my recipes / folders and have an A4 ringbinder with recipes to try - will be trying at least one new one each week :T - and another with a list of favourite recipes & recipes moved from the "to try" folder ... hopefully this should make meal planning a bit easier!

Will be back later with the next plan!

I think that we will be skipping the chilli today. We are going out for lunch and if we eat any dinner (we are normally still too full from lunch when we go out) we have plenty of leftover jambalaya!

Stuck to our plan this week which is good as we actually have a bit of space in the freezer and cupboards now. The freezer needs defrosting and the cupboards to do with a good clean and I'm hoping that within the next couple of weeks I'll be able to do both.

Our plan for this week is

Sat - chicken in black bean sauce with either egg fried rice or noodles. Friends and family coming over and they are bringing dessert.
Sun - Cheese and onion pie, baked pots and veg and black berry crumble.
Mon - Sausage casserole, mashed pots and veg
Tues - Turkey curry and rice (last of the left over turkey!)
Wed - YS cheese and ham pasta with HM cheese sauce, salad and YS garlic bread.
Thurs - Toad in the hole, roasties and veg.
Fri - YS gammon joint with baked pots and LO cauli cheese from freezer.
Sat - Quiche using the rest of the gammon, HM chips and salad.

Hope everyone has a good weekend

  • So .... have spent hours :o reorganising my recipes ..... I had hundreds shoved into books, files etc and 1/2 of them I would never actually use (so have binned some:eek:)

    I now have 2 folders:

    1-P1000270_zps20e9cd8f.jpg

Each folder has been divided the same way for foods - things like soups, starters & salads, lunches, poultry etc etc with the meal having a couple of extra tabs at the start for bits & pieces

Hope this will help me meal plan!:D
