I hear maggots have very good nutritional values. If your kids won't eat their 5 portions of fruit and veg a day try them instead. :)

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
guess asda might come back with that :rotfl:

I was listening to bbc radio4's food programme on sunday, and apparently the manufacturers made the food according to the supermarket's status. For e.g. buttery for sainsbury's cakes, oily for asda's cakes etc.
They (the supermarkets ),according to what I heard go to the same manufacturers.I stand corrected if I have misheard what was said.
By the way, I have never been given £2 voucher for being sold out of date (1week old) food.I was given doubled the cost back.
Infact at the weekend I bought a reduced apple custard tart and I spit 2 "bone bits" out! Should I take it back? Problem is I have wash the plastic container to recyle it and hence the labels are in bits.

    Oooh, that's good jimsmum ...

You're becoming infamous by the sounds of it - you probably did them a massive favour by alerting them to the problem and have saved them thousands in compo from people all over your area. Still icky for you though!

Normally Mrs Snowbits would buy a bag of spuds, rinse them, then quarterise 'em. Put thme in a pot pot till the water boiled, drain them, then put them in the oven with a bit of tomato and cheese on top (Do not forget the tray)

Very yummy with black pepper and we still have enough left over for Friday and Satiurday night. All for around £1.85!

    Or, and no worms!

OYG - sounds nasty. Hope it was an isolated incident.

By the way, if you buy potato wedges you can smooth the sides off with sandpaper or a household file. Makes lovely chips :)
    Can I help?
