the trick is to approach the wholesaler not the retailer, if you find who supplies/manufactures the food for the supermarket and get in touch with them they usually bend over backwards to help you out, they dont want to loose there contract with the supermarket
they are asda's own make
how do i find out who makes them if it isnt asda??I heart The Capital0 -
I just remembered something else I once found in my food that shouldn't have been there. I was eating some coco pops one morning and thought I'd got a chewy one. When I spat it out it was a piece of blue wooden pallet. I called the CC no on the box and was asked how I come to the conclusion it was a piece of blue wooden pallet  I told them I work with them all day so know what one looks like. They sent me a form to fill in and a packet to put the offending material into. Few weeks later I got a few money off vouchers, about £5 worth IIRC.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0

Yuck! I remember when I was very young finding a maggot in a box of coco pops. Still don't eat cereal now! Sounds like Coco pops do a variety of added extras!0

No, seriously - you don't wanna know! At least you don't live only a few miles away from the store like I do!
Ok then - it was meeces - shedloads of 'em, in the bakery, cafe, alcohol aisle etc etc, not to mention a whole family of the b0ggers in the warehouse! ewww!
Whole shop was riddled with them by all accounts! eek eek!0 -
You people need to calm down a little, these things do happen, with the amount of food produced and sold, especially the vast quantities that the supermarkets get through, it's pretty unsurprising that a small percentage of the food does not meet the required standards. What do you expect these people to do, examine every piece of food beore they send it out, perhaps they should x-ray it for anything in there that shouldn't be (sarcasm btw). As for the whole bird thing, there's not a lot I can say other than it needs to be sorted out.
People on here are complaining about so many petty little things, a maggot here, a nail there, you ever given a second of thought to those in the 3rd world that eat these sort of things since it's the only food they have, before complaining about these minor wrongs that occaisionally happen to you try thiking of others and stop being so selfish.
I will be sure to collect as many finger nails and grubs as I can and post them off to all your freinds of the third world, so they can have a feast. As I dont live and have no intentions of moving over to the third world, I expect slightly more standards when I purchase my food in this country, I think thats why we have a Trading Standards policy.
If you call that being selfish, just think of all those other people I could save from piosening or choking to death, by letting them know of the potential hazard.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A
