Hi jimsmum
A few years ago we found a small piece of blue plastic in a quorn sausage. I took it to our environmental dept. along with the product. Couple of weeks later I got some vouchers in the post from the company themselves and an explanation, something about the production line, but as someone said, these things are taken seriously, and the environmental dept. must have investigated.
Would be an idea to ring the environmental dept. just to let them know. They may look into it for you.Official DFW Nerd Club Member no:219In the Court Of The Crimson KingI don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.Gary Larson0 -
hello,
still have not heard anything, but i dont expect to for another few weeks.
DS is ok now and only says no no when food comes out of a packet, although i have been up all night with him as he has croup and tonsilitis, bless him.
Went into asda yesterday for the first time,i really didnt want to but asda is the closest and the next is Tesco 5 miles away and i dont drive.
The wedges are back on sale now and made my stomach flip when i saw them!!!!
Will let you all know when i hear anything.I heart The Capital0 -
A few years back I opened a pack of prawns and found a funny looking beastie/slug/sea creature/alien type thing! I took some pictures of it and then took it back to my local store Asda who refused to do anything other than give me another pack of prawns, no compensation nada. So I wrote complaining telling them that in fact i was doing them a favour by not reporting it to Enviromental health or trading standards and that I would have expected some compensation gift card or similar. Also I contacted my local sea life centre and e-mailed pics of said beastie in an attempt to identify it (sad I know, but heh I was interested). Once they had confirmed that it defo was not a prawn and it was either a sea slug or sea cucumber but whatever it was it certainly should not have been in a pack of prawns, I then wrote another quite humorous letter to Asda head office who replied very quickly with a £50 Asda voucher!!! To be honest I would have settled for my petrol money but this was a nice bonus. The victims we know so well

Mice eh? I'm so glad I am very unlikely to shop there.
Maybe someone should post this whole thread on a weight loss site or something, I'm sure they would be very grateful!:rotfl::j Morecambe FC, Conference Play Off Winners 2007

Yet more moldy food to take back to tescos, tomatoes that i picked up today. Like the last time still sealed and in date.
I ended up taking strawberries back along with the tomatoes:mad: . I took them to customer services then went off to get replacements, picked the strawberries up no problem. When i looked for packed tomatoes the first one i picked up was covered in mold:eek: , the second one i picked up was moldy  but you had to look carefully the third was fine. I took the moldy ones i found on the shelf back to cs along with the ones i was exchanging, the woman put i shocked face on  .The best things in life are for FREE!!!If you like what you see and find this info useful, please use the thanks button. I hear maggots have very good nutritional values. If your kids won't eat their 5 portions of fruit and veg a day try them instead.0

What a fantastic argument for not buying processed, packaged food!
Can anyone help me though, my chickens get their poo on their eggs. What are my rights? ROTFLMAOMember no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:
