Tomorrow is November 1st, time for me to rejoin you all and start planning Christmas. Yes, I'm sure most of you have almost/completely finished your shopping! You probably all have Christmas cakes & flavoured vodka maturing and have fought and won the battle with cellophane wrapped gift hampers. Your cards are probably already written ready to post on the 1st December whilst I've managed to make just 5 so far...:o
This afternoon, as we're quiet at work, I'm going to write my list of people to buy for. Hubby is going to be the toughest as we've agreed on a holiday in Feb as our main pressie to each other but will give something(s) to open on the day as well as stockings each.
:j the 1st of November. Give it a couple of days and all the Halloween stuff will be gone. :j
Meaning the shelves will full of Christmas goodies. :j0 -

This hour has been a mixed blessing, as I seem to have been awake ages and have emptied the dishwasher cleaned the hob, drunk coffee and had a shower, read yesterdays paper and made my list for the week ahead, its only half past six, and dark outside.
This weeks tasks, 1) finish sewing wooden figures on advent calendars and write numbers of days on them. 2) Wrap fave cous families presents. 3)waste hours looking for a pink party dress for DGD in size7
Hello MrsInvisible :santa2:
Geocaching is a treasure hunt of sorts.
People put a small item in a box or plastic box - ring, keyring, semi precious stone, any small thing really - and hide it somewhere such as under a bush, in a tree, behind a public building etc. They enter the co-ordinates (navigational ones) into a special website for geocaching.
Other people then use a special hand held device - about the size of a mobile phone - or download an app onto their smart phones, and use it to try finding the hidden "treasures". The app or device contains a treasure map, compass and clues on where to look.
When anyone finds a treasure box they need to take one "treasure" out and replace it with a "treasure" of their own.

Sorry yes thats a great geocaching explanation. Often thry are hid in interesting places you would never know were there! Weve been for a walk in appledore today and found 2 good ones. Its good fun and gets you out n about. Lots of geocachers have dogs too lol. Known as geodogs! Haha.
Off to halloween tonight. Front door decorated pumpkins carved n sweets in a bowl.
Dh tells me he is cracking on with packing. Beds in bits at mo and sofa about to come apart! Eek x0 -
Springdreams and Crowdpleaser, that sounds like real good family fun, thanks for the explanation, I am content.
Love all the pics of dogs, they all have that loved and important look about them, its obvious they are part of the family. Have just finished making Halloween cupcakes, ghosts pumpkins and spiders (well, they look like that to me!) for littlies trick or treat party. Friend got back today, she was so pleased, she cried, said she was overwhelmed, so I'm happy we did it.
Now, Im off to the wrinklies Halloween hooley no need for a costume, lol. Happy haunting everyone xx0 -
I am so relieved. Have had our first trick or treater. Asked them if they why frightened of dogs, which they weren't. Open the door and Mia just sat there why they all petted her. I called her in and she came straight in and laid down. :j
They are now fireworks going off. The dogs at the back are going mad. Mia is just laying here giving the occasional growl. And the French doors are open, so the bangs sound load.
I went back to the car when I got in from work and she followed me out there and back. No running down the road.
If only I could get her to wipe her paws before coming in the lounge she would be perfect. :rotfl:0 -

When I read that I went straight to front door to see if any of the pile underneath it was card from postman but it wasn't
I'm hoping it comes early tomorrow before I go to work at 110 -
I'm glad she is now well groomed- I could do with your services when it comes to brushing my German Shepherd- she hates being brushed- its a real trauma for her-dunno why cus we have had her since she was 9 weeks old and she's never been hurt when we groom her. Shes a real titty la la- such a softie.
Don't want to bore you with more Mia pics but thought you might like to see this evenings laid back grooming.0 -
You will never bore me OMO. She looks like a very happy girl. I love seeing everyone's animal pictures. I have not discovered how to get one of my boy on. It has taken me long enough to learn to multi quote.
Just a wee note as one just back from the vet's with a £200 bill over three weeks it might help to get her insured just in case!!!!!Sealed Pot Challenge 1441
