  • Evening

Had my yankee candles arrive earlier and they smell amazing, husband says they are my xmas present tho so had to double wrap them in the spare room...smells good.

Went to tesco and sorted out the in laws with their xmas presents in the half price gift and spent an hour wrapping - pleased about that

  • I am so jealous! I missed my delivary & the driver is not returning my calls/voicemail messages for me to arrange re-delivery! Goodness knows when or if he will try again... getting very impatient!

    Evening all,

After suggestion on what I can get FIL, all I've come up with so far is slippers! He's 80 next week, no hobbies/interests, doesn't go out much ....

    Completely stumped!

Hi folks - still not done anything Christmassy but have begun the long slow tidy and making headway with making space in the freezer - so hopefully in 2 weeks I'll be ready for a defrost and begin the Christmas baking....

Just felt I had to say - wow OMO what a lovely dog, Mia is so lovely and sweet natured. You are lucky to have her and she sure is lucky to have you guys - enjoy. I swear she's smiling in that grooming photo ...:D

    Love happy endings ...... :T

Some kind of DVD box set? World War 2 or similar? That's what we bought my grandad when he couldn't get out much!

    HTH :)

    Morning everyone.
I'm still here, reading religiously every day. I had £98 of tesco vouchers so managed to get £200 worth of toys for £0 for my two little ones (half price toy sale and clubcard boost). So have now made a good dent in the kids pressies.
Off to the local garden centre tonight as they have a grand opening of there Xmas department with a brass band, Santa and free food and mulled wine. I'm so excited he he.
Hope everyone is keeping well x

  • Lol omo I say that about paws too oh and teaching her to close doors...she can open them herself but will she close them after ;)lol

Yay to Xmas being allowed to appear! I've got to decide where to take dd4 to see Santa. Dh has the week off before Xmas so would be good if we could time it then. I'm so excited this year... My girls have some brill pressies to open and my dh has joined in with the shopping too (he was very deeply depressed last Xmas so wasn't here much, mentally here if that makes sense) I was struggling with a main pressie for my nearly 15yr old so was going to give her money but he came home the other day and asked me upstairs..he went out and bought her a chromebook (laptop that's browser based) she's going to so cry opening it...really made me smile.

Didn't get to tescos yesterday to collect the other girls hudl's so shall pop up today while they go to the cinema I think.

Each year we put together a nice hamper for my elderly FIL. We include posh biscuits, shortbread, preserves (homemade), tea, pasta, sardines (his fav) that kind of thing - and we also include a bottle of his fav tipple! Lidl and aldi both do some nice bits which look and tast quite luxurious, but dont break the bank.
It is always very well received and FIL has said he looks forward to getting his hamper each year!
