Mia looks gorgeous, obviously enjoys the attention of the brush, and how obedient. Agree that insurance is a good idea, or PDSA if you cant afford full insurance.
Still abed, enjoying a cup od DGS made coffee. His birthday tomorrow, 11 years old. (where does it go, and why so fast?)
Well done on your DH getting out of depression this year, and how thoughtful of him to buy a chromebook for DD.

OMO Mia is so cute. Our springer is 2 and everytime I get up to move he still follows me!

I was doing so well following the thread then I had the migraine from h**l last night.

In August I had blood tests at the GP. it showed high cholesterol and blood sugar so I another to test for diabetes, As we were going on holiday I rang up for the results and was told they were fine but needed to be repeated in 3 months. About a month ago I saw another GP about something else and he said have you come for your blood test results and I said no but I know I have to repeat them in 2 months. He said you need to watch your diet and do more exercise and that was it. What he didn't tell me me blood sugar level is 46 and diabetes is diagnosed at 48:mad: I can't see the nurse for over 2 weeks so am off to read about diet. I have had some lovely porridge made with water and a bit of salt. Christmas is going to be fun:eek:
It will be fine bunbun, I'll come back to you with some good books and things to help you not freak out. I'm just catching up on yesterdays posts I didn't get in til gone 10 last night from work.

    Love and hugs xx

Wondering if any of you can help me. Ive bought a chocolate Xmas mould and some cello bags so I can make my own chocolate gifts. What I'm wondering as I've only got one mould it's gonna take a while to fill the 24 bags. If I do a mould a day, do you reckon the chocolates would keep ok in a tin? I could just fill the tin then nearer the time distrabute into the bags?? Any ideas appreciated. Thanks x

How many times do you need to fill the mould to fill a bag ?

If you put the mould in the fridge after the chocolate has cooled you should be able to take it out after a couple of hours.

If you do this remember to keep chocolates in the fridge after too. It seems to lower their melting point if they are hardened too quickly....
Money saving idea. ... Keep the inserts from Advent calenders to make chocolates the next year x

Each year we put together a nice hamper for my elderly FIL. We include posh biscuits, shortbread, preserves (homemade), tea, pasta, sardines (his fav) that kind of thing - and we also include a bottle of his fav tipple! Lidl and aldi both do some nice bits which look and tast quite luxurious, but dont break the bank.
It is always very well received and FIL has said he looks forward to getting his hamper each year!

Thats a great idea, I always struggle for my dad, theres only so much pjs, slippers and smellys I can buy (and other family) for birthdays and christmas!. I have bought a small novelty thing and smellys in the Tesco sale but that cost me under a fiver, if I can pull a hamper together for less than a tenner I think I will do that this year :). Or I can get my other two sisters involved :)

    Thanks
    BB
