Hi all. Quick question. Can someone explain to me how I add a signature on here and an Avatar please?
Thanks.
On the green bar where you log out of the forum is a link to "User CP" - click on that.
Under "Your Control Panel" on the left hand side are options for "Edit Avatar" and "Edit Signature".

Need some desperate helpsome of the only gifts I need to buy are the most difficult. The person that made the snide comment about not being able to buy a decent gift for under £10 has two younger boys (6 and 10) I need to get them some toys on the cheap. They like lego and wrestling - neither are afraid of telling you straight when they dislike a gift (I have had demands to take them back for alternative gifts before
) Does anyone know of some shops/sites that have a big discount on toys? I refuse to pay out for something that isn't really going to be appreciated, but at the same time don't want to be accused of being cheap etc
Goodness- they are six and ten. Really? Well where I am from, it is ok to be honest about things that way you get what you want and give what people want. As long as you are not rude about it. Personally I would design a nice gift envelope and put in money for the both of them. Eg if you where going to spend £10 each on a toy for them I would put in in one gift envelope with both their names on it. That way they can decide how to split it amongst themselves and it is like giving them £20 rather than £10 each. Although by the sounds of it, mum might have something to say about it.... Good luck.0 -
OMO,
Are you still up for doing a guest post on the blog in a few weeks time? I was thinking sometime between the 28th of Jan to the 7th of Feb?
Let me know............0 -
FeistyFidget - keep an eye on amazon for lego. last year, during feb & march they did massive price cuts on nearly all lego sets (i got quite a few sets for dd's xmas, and still have 2 sets put away for next xmas!). Good luck :-)
Well, redid our budget today, to factor for the not working, and it really doesnt look too bad at all. Cut xmas, bday & clothing funds a bit, and dh has cut our nights out & takeaways from 1-2 a week to once a month, plus not smoking, and money saved on petrol means if we stick to our budget, we could actually be better off with me not working! were very lucky that dh earns a decent wage, and he is happy to, and can afford to support us all (in return for a homemade meal on the table when he gets home apparently lol!), so for now, im going to enjoy being a mum & wife, in fact, i already am..its 5:30, weve had dinner, house is spotless, were about to enjoy a game of monopoly with kids, and i can relax tonight, rather than rushing around doing everything!
Still not had a cig, sooo proud of self, a few cravings today, but theyre passing a lot quicker now!!
omo - congrats on little robbie
nanamania - really really pleased to hear about the improvement of dsil
all newbies - welcome home xIt's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -
