We asked for money at our wedding :embarasse However, we put in the invite that we didn't expect gifts as the guests being there were presents enough, but for those that really wanted to give something then money would be appreciated.

Make them a unique, personalised gift. Tea-towels and towels are always needed, could you not monogram some? Or if your handy with a scalpel (or have a fab cutting machine like me) a wedding papercut could be made?



Framing one of these up makes it look wonderfully professional That pic isn't one of mine, but I am planning to make lots of wedding papercuts ready for the spring boom in my Etsy store

Hello everyone, Own My Own recommended I join you guys like 2 days ago and I've given up trying to catch up, will be Christmas by time I get to the end haha. Anyway this year I'm making all my gifts so will be good to [STRIKE]try and keep up[/STRIKE] follow the thread!

FeistyFidget I love papercuts, it's one of my best friend's 1st (paper) wedding anniversary next month, & that's what I plan to do as a present except I only have a craft knife, OH wont let me buy a machine!

Welcome to the gang Keep an eye on gumtree, there was a woman that was trying to sell a brand new (unwanted gift) silhouette cameo with a travel bag for just £200 - most will agree to post if you pay extra - I have easily made that money back in commissions and I haven't even opened my store yet

Need some desperate help some of the only gifts I need to buy are the most difficult. The person that made the snide comment about not being able to buy a decent gift for under £10 has two younger boys (6 and 10) I need to get them some toys on the cheap. They like lego and wrestling - neither are afraid of telling you straight when they dislike a gift (I have had demands to take them back for alternative gifts before ) Does anyone know of some shops/sites that have a big discount on toys? I refuse to pay out for something that isn't really going to be appreciated, but at the same time don't want to be accused of being cheap etc
