Wow ! This moves so quick
Impressed with how well you know each other. A real family. Not sure could make individual comments yet. Will need to work on that. Thank you for all of your welcomes.
One of today's many dilemmas , we've been invited to a wedding. The oh is an usher. Bride and groom have said no gifts but would like the money. Really feel under pressure you can get some great bargains at mo and they wouldn't know amount spent whereas if you put an amount in a card they know the true extent of your gift. Any ideas ?
On another note I love to knit and cross stitch so if anyone needs any help give me a yell x0 -

Hi newbies
Jenny - I knitted this wedding cake 2 years ago for BF wedding. The pattern is superbly written, results are stunning and wont cost a fortune if you have a yarn stash. You can also tailor it to the wedding colours. very personal, thoughtful and mse

I would stitch them a wedding sampler, then. Personally, I feel that asking for money is slightly cheeky (although I do see why people do it these days), and I would rather give a gift. What would they do-refuse the gift??? Doubt it!Use your skills as a stitcher & make them something unique & personal.

Quick post from phone at work.
I will be called Mimi by Robbie. It is what his dad used to call me when he was little and couldn't say my name. We did discuss Nan etc, but he has one. She may not be here, but she will always be his Nan.
welshdreamer71 thanks for the Boots tip. Got 2 sanctuary sets for dd and dil for Christmas. Have now gone over dils budget by £4, but it was too good not to get. Told her and ads they would be getting less next year due to Robbie, so it will be a nice surprise for her.
Trendyjenny I would also go for a sampler. There are some lovely ones out there.
Back to work now. Will catch up later.
Nanamia hope DSIL is well today.
Got to laugh, my phones spell check knows your name. :rotfl:0
