    :rotfl: his is my grandson.
One of my friends died about 7 years ago, in a freak accident. She was a single parent with one son. He was 16 and Social Services were going to put him in a bedsit.
His grandparents were in their 80's and lived on the other side of the country. So he came to live with us, and has been part of our family ever since. I have treated him like he was one of my own, so his baby is now one of my own.

Ohh that was so great of you to take him on as your own, your friend is smiling down on you all. congrets

It's a shame and injustice that so many people think beauticians are thick. The older sister of one of my daughters friends is taking beauty, and I could not believe the essays and papers she has had to write. She has to know how chemicals react together. Most of which I can't even spell, let alone know what they do.

Well done in coming top of class in massage. It always helps when you really enjoy something doesn't it.:D

    Happy Birthday black cat!

Good luck all the ex-smokers. If you're feeling you want to give up giving up, it is worth remembering that every time you don't manage to quit, you'll make it harder next time because your brain will associate this point after quitting with it being time for the cigarette fast to end. So it's hard now but you're doing your future self an extra favour by keeping at it. Go team!

Is it just me, or are the people who decide what goes on the telly and when plain NUTS.
The cartoon Monsters vs Aliens has just started on BBC3 . Why ?

I am going to watch it, but why put it on at 7.30 on a Thursday night ?

Thank you for all the "Happy Birthdays!"

Having a great day - OH came home from hospital yesterday (after a week in with kidney stones). Went out for lunch, spent some birthday money and just finished a takeaway! :D
  • Good luck with not smoking pinknfluffy and good luck with whatever path you now take jobwise. :)

Perfect! Thank you!! May even take a walk there next week then after work (YUP walk another 3 miles lol) They are just the very thing I was talking to bf about today as Ive only got 2 and managed to fill one this afternoon with gift bags, cards, tissue paper etc for 2013! The other is already filled with personal sentimental stuff from childhood which I just refuse to put in attic lol

You'd be surprised looking at today for me, something like only done 20% opps. Remember Ive only walked so much the last week because of the rushing around for christmas!

Us too - as of 30 mins ago, lovely turkey curry! Just enough curry leftover for tomorrow :D But then of course I went to iceland yesterday and bought another so will need to defrost it at some point :rotfl:

use it for easter safe you some money

Congratulations OMO - my cousin's eldest apparently had a cone head (I was too young to notice) and I can assure you it is now perfectly formed ;)
