How did you make the choccie cake?? Sounds interesting.
    Your stags look lovely :T

You make up the cake mix, pour it in the sandwich maker until the bottom half is full. Close and cook for 3-4 minutes.
You can ( while they're warm, squeeze some choc sauce in them. If making vanilla sponge squeeze some jam in them.)
You can also do this with brownie mix. They take about 6-8 minutes.

( :rotfl: I sound like I know about baking cakes :rotfl: )

I have also read that you can make puff pastry things in them. I am going to try this with mincemeat.
  • Well I couldn't help myself and ordered the original BBC tv series of the Chronicles of Narnia for £3 at Sainsburys, even though it's not about Christmas it reminds me of it as I remember watching it in the lead up to Christmas when I was younger. I do have the first series, and DH and I watched it the Christmas before last but were then left hanging as we didn't have the rest of it! :rotfl:

Thanks to snugglebunny I think (i'm so sorry if i'm wrong!) for posting about the snow globe biscuit tin at M&S, my auntie loves snow globes so I really want to get it for her, just waiting now to see if they go on offer for £5!

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned yet or not but I had an email from HOT deals the other day saying that B&M are selling bottles of Baileys Mint (70cl) for £5.99.
  • It's funny you've all started talking about your user names as I was only thinking the other day that I don't like mine! When I was about 21 I set up an email address with 'princesskitty' and I really cannot remember why on earth I did! As I used that email address to register on here I just put that in as my username not thinking i'd end up posting and using it all the time and I don't really like it now. I'm 10 years older now and i'm really not a princess, I do hope you don't all think I must be like one because it's my username! I'd be a rubbish one if I was! I'm not always as well groomed as i'd like and really not posh enough or a diva! I have absolutely no idea where the 'kitty' bit came from - I do not own and have never owned a cat and can't say I have any particular affinity with Hello Kitty!! :rotfl:So my user name really doesn't reflect me - I have no idea what i'd pick now if I had to!
  • Went to Aldi this afternoon, saw they are putting their xmas food out but also noticed they have replaced the 2.99 turkey in trays with a more expensive one grrrr

Many thanks Freespirit, Nanamia and Princesskitty29 for your kind wishes for my exams. I sat the last one today. I will only know the results come Easter - I know, it is a very very long wait. I have no idea why ... If I pass them, these will be the last ones I have to sit. After that it will simply be a matter of keeping up to date with changes to the law and current case law :j The exams are very essay based, so hard to tell how I did. I do feel fairly comfortable about them though, so can only hope that means I at least got the minimum needed to pass

Have Primark got men's onesies in again, anyone whose been lately? If so what designs are they?

Yes they do. I didn't pay much attention to the designs, as I was looking for onesies for my DS who is 12 and my twin nephews, who are only 6 weeks old. They do have a fluffy wolf one and a fluffy gorilla one though if that helps. I got these in the extra small size as my DS really wanted them. He will get one for his birthday in December, and the other will go in his Christmas eve hamper.

I'm another one who is not a fan of Christmas cake, pudding or mince pies.

  • omo what a genius idea for the sandwich maker. The only thing we use ours for is omelettes, same principle, half full but if it as a clip on the lid do not clip it down as it rises a lot and you get super fluffy omelettes
