Good morning, in my slow cooker is chicken chasseur.

3 diced chicken breasts, 1 diced onion, sliced mushrooms, 1 x mr.T's casserole mix. I also wanted some veg so I do not have to cook seperatly so I also added 2 carrots and a parsnip.

    Will serve with mashed potatoe.
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
    Spring begins on 21st March.

I add the raw, washed and sliced mushrooms at the begining to the pot.
I would fry to seal the beef and fry the onions a bit to get some colour.

thanks for that - I wasn't sure if they end up sludgy doing that?

I haven't sealed anything today as I sprained my ankle so was aiming to spend the least amount of time standing up!!

Hiya, got up and stared early in the kitchen.
In the slow coooker is pumpkin soup. I lightly fried 1 chopped onion and also chopped the pumpkin into small pieces and in they went with 2 1/2 pts of vegetable stock. Will put in the blender later.
The small pumpkin was £1 from Mr. T's.

Breadmaker is also on to cook a 2lb basic loaf to eat with the soup.

From the Tesco magazine, Sep/Oct issue I cooked the apple and blackberry tray bake in the oven. I picked the blackberries this morning from the garden, had apples given. The cake turned out well.

i made that cake last week - it was lovely and has been added to my list of things to make often!

your soup sounds yummy. nothing in mine today as i am taking the boys to ikea for meatballs while DH is away with work - sort of :money: though as they are on offer for 1.50 on a wednesday!

My gammon in cola was postponed until today, as work swapped my day off and I'm not confident enough to leave my new slow cooker on while I'm not here. It's like a test run

Ahhh! I was the same with my slow cooker at first. you just need to try it a few times to learn to trust it I think?!! ;)
But when you do (after a very short while!) it will be one of the best things you have ever bought! I love mine! and my Remoska! :D:D

OH is cooking 12 pigeon breasts which his dad gave us, with bacon, mushrooms, shallots, garlic, red wine, and herbs. For a pigeon pie.

He cut the pigeon into strips, coated in seasoned flour, and lightly browned in butter first, before adding to the slow cooker with all the other ingredients
