I had mince and onions in mine yesterday. Incredibly sadly, it lacks mince :p I am so mad at myself as the lovely delish organic beef mince I had in the fridge had gone off - £2.94 down the drain  I usually cook it with the same amount of soya mince which usually disappears into the rest of the mince as the meat flavours the entire dish. Altho acceptably edible, it was definitely lacking something. DH, bless him, said he didn't miss the meat, but I did :(

Well my curry will have been cooking for an hour and a bit so far (if my timer thing worked okay), I am nervous about going home and it being rubbish! Must be first time nerves :rotfl:

I often have a back up plan every time I try a new recipe :o eg, HM chili in the freezer than can be microwaved if the meal isn't good.

Have only had to do it once.... in 3 years ;) And that wasn't a slow cooker recipe either ;)

Just about to do rice pudding in mine.
Followed the receipe from post #1508

edited to say, WOW! What a delicious, creamy, fab pudding.
Will def make again. Was very worried when i put the rice in the milk as there seemed to be so much liquid. Never drempt it would soak it all up. But hey presto, magic, came out perfect. One very happy family!

Life is too short to waste a minute of it complaining about bad luck. Find joy in the simple things, show your love for those around you and be grateful for all that you have. :)

Its always a relief when you try something new and it works, I threw sausages, tin toms, beef stock, herbs, mushrooms, honey, soy sauce, bbq sauce, tom puree and garlic in mine today, hoping that it would be ok. Just served with steamed new potatoes and carrots, all in giant yorkshire pudding(HM). Tasted great. Got loads of praise so its def gonna be on the menu again. :D
