I had a slow cooker today but really don't know what to cook in it.
I don't like any of the recipies in the book that came with it so I need some help.
I don't like vegetables (except potatoes and peas), onions, herbs, spices, rice, pasta, beans, spagetti, lentils, curry, garlic, fruit or eggs.
There's loads of food I don't like so what can I cook in it.

I was about to say I got one from Argos for £12, but now I think it's the same one you have :p how long have you had it?

Returned to say the rice pudding was SUPERB!! Cooked in super-fast time too actually. I had it on high for about an hour or so then down for under 2. Took a ton of milk though. After two portions after tea, I'm stuffed to overflowing now. Pain in the butt to clean afterwards.

  • My slow cooker was busy today, did a boneless pork leg for dinner and then wanted to try the rice pudding so did that too. Was lovely, 3 hours on high for me and then 30 minutes on low, was a big success .
Really beginning to love my slow cooker now!
Real men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together. :p

  • I did a beef casserole in mine on Saturday - diced beef, onion, carrot, kidney beans, tomatoes and herbs.

There was loads of juice left so, being too lazy to wash out the pot, I made it into beef broth by adding 2 onions, a carrot, some pearl barley and lentils, more water and seasoning. We cooked it last night and had it for lunch today. It was lovely.
