Tesco Clubcard fraud - online vouchers stolen

  • Wow, I was quoted in the recent news story.

I since telephoned Tesco again, and while I did speak to a more amenable operator I am still yet to hear from their fraud team. I have not received any confirmation that my vouchers will be reinstated so will call them again. Failing that, I'll email their CEO directly. That usually seems to work with complaints.

Tesco really need to change their system; I was told my club card account would be frozen while it was investigated, however I can still login (I have changed passwords etc), I can still collect points, and I can still redeem my recent money off coupons. Clearly their ability to restrict or monitor accounts is somewhat limited.

Post 295 tells you how to do it.
But you do have to choose to sign in to groceries to get the "change password" option.
If you choose to sign in to clubcard, the change password option is not there.
It seems to be the same sign in for all the different areas of Tesco, but you get different options in different areas.

    Thanks dubhead

This shows what an inadequate computer website Tesco provide.

I bet the fraudsters know how to change the password!
  • I'm not sure what my clubcard voucher balance should be - can I check what previous vouchers have been used for and when?

Yes - the clubcard site has an option to view your transaction history - for recent ones anyway

be careful, when you go online at tesco they only show the last 2 years, i had been saving for a holiday for 2 years, some were about to expire so i went to use them and found them gone along with the rest. luckily i did a screendump and can prove i had them. tesco are saying they will replace 580.

the value six hundred and fifty pounds worth 3x so almost 2 grand

  • I have just spent one and a half hours on the phone to Tesco club card trying to get my £73 worth of vouchers put back on my account. I could see all 12 vouchers that had been used by someone else in another part of the country. I cannot believe that such a huge organisation could not see where these vouchers had been used and kept giving me various amounts that would be credited to my account. I'm so angry it has taken so long with no word of compensation for my time trying to get back what was mine in the first place.

Tesco customer service is not what I expected, very very poor!!!
