Tesco Clubcard fraud - online vouchers stolen

Right, you have an ordinary CC, an a Clubcard Credit Card (always has a different set of no's), and because when you set-up your dot.com account you didn't quote your ordinary CC - it gave you a 'virtual' card no - to ensure you got your points. Which means you may get between one & three statements.
The cards can be cancelled - usually happens for example if someone emigrates - can't use a UK CC in a non-sterling area.
But that's hardly applicable if you're going to still using the CC, Cr/cd, and Tesco Direct.
But I not sure why you want them 'cancelled'?
It was one I don't use which was hacked. Why would I want to keep that?0 -
after seeing Martin on TV this morning, went & checked my a/c to discover about half of my voucher codes are missing!
I'm asking myself why on earth didn't I exchange them when i was going to do so ?
Can't phone them this morning but have emailed & will call this afternoon - I imagine they'll be inundated now, after Martin's appearance, so I don't expect them to get back to me soon.0 -

How can you tell where the voucher was spent?0 -
But why would you need to remove them? If you do, then who knows later find one of them is linked to a little used email address - order on-line oops where've the points gone, or the no that Tesco Mobile have.
...surely multiple card numbers INCREASES the risk of fraud? If a card stops working at a store (and I'm sure one of these "extra" numbers was for an old card which the till assistant "destroyed" when it wouldn't scan) surely that number should be cancelled and ANY links to emails/phone numbers wiped once the points have been transferred to a new number IF REQUIRED.
And my principal point was that I should have the freedom to cancel these unused numbers, won't lose any points because our account contains all 4 card numbers. If I'm stupid enuf to cancel a card which I STILL have then its my fault......:)0 -
Store shouldn't allow this to happen, they would be quite with in their right to refuse, even confiscate the vouchers. How are they to know your have permission? If that was the case, then you should have a key-fob of theirs to use.
Good luck with stopping that on the self serve checkouts!0 -

aah, thanks - mine just says Clubcard Rewards but I was hoping it would say exactly which rewards they were spent on - I only use mine for 1 type.0 -
This may be news to some....but I've always managed to use clubcard vouchers without an actual clubcard. I regularly use my mum's and boyfriend's vouchers (with their permission) and sometimes don't use a clubcard or if I do; I use my own clubcard and I've never encountered any problems.
Presumably the till will only refuse if any clubcard has not been scanned. I guess it doesn't cross-check the numbers on the voucher against the account?0 -
Just checked my account and £88 worth was spent yesterday! Left me £1.50 in my account! Phoned Tesco and they said I should hear back from them in 48hrs. Gutted as I save them to exchange and do nice trips with the kids in the summer.0
