It would be nice if they would contact me, let alone refund the points/vouchers!
  • Mine is a slightly different story - just logged into my account, and one voucher, worth just £4.50, issued in November was spent in November. It was spent at my local store, which is different to many of the others here. However it absolutely wasn't me - I always save vouchers up and use them on clubcard rewards ordered online, as you can clearly see from my record. The vouchers issued since are all still there.
Maybe my voucher was lost for the more old-fashioned reason of someone helping themselves to my letter that contained it. Am I the only one?

    I have several, apparently.
I had a CC, then I got a Tesco credit card, so they allocated me another number, then when I signed up for online access they created another one. Apparently they can't cancel them.

Right, you have an ordinary CC, an a Clubcard Credit Card (always has a different set of no's), and because when you set-up your dot.com account you didn't quote your ordinary CC - it gave you a 'virtual' card no - to ensure you got your points. Which means you may get between one & three statements.

The cards can be cancelled - usually happens for example if someone emigrates - can't use a UK CC in a non-sterling area.
But that's hardly applicable if you're going to still using the CC, Cr/cd, and Tesco Direct.
But I not sure why you want them 'cancelled'?

This may be news to some....but I've always managed to use clubcard vouchers without an actual clubcard. I regularly use my mum's and boyfriend's vouchers (with their permission) and sometimes don't use a clubcard or if I do; I use my own clubcard and I've never encountered any problems.

Store shouldn't allow this to happen, they would be quite with in their right to refuse, even confiscate the vouchers. How are they to know your have permission? If that was the case, then you should have a key-fob of theirs to use.

Checked my wife's account this morning; the vouchers we have earned are still all there BUT there are 4 different card numbers listed; One is our Tesco Credit card and another is the previous Clubcard which I still have on a key fob, but can't find any record of the other two numbers. I PRESUME that they were "old" numbers which were superceded when the cards ceased to work under the scanners or got lost - but I don't know for sure.
Can't find any way to remove them - has anyone succeeded in getting these disused card numbers removed????

But why would you need to remove them? If you do, then who knows later find one of them is linked to a little used email address - order on-line oops where've the points gone, or the no that Tesco Mobile have.

I shop online at Tesco and have never asked for a clubcard and have never been told I've got one. Yet periodically I get sent physical vouchers, which I use online (apart from the ones it says you can use online but actually you can't). The site says I do have a clubcard but then says it's registered at another address. It doesn't tell me the full number and there is just a link to another site, which asks for a full number so I can't log in. There are no more details available so if someone did steal my clubcard points I'd not be any the wiser. What a bizarre system.

So you shop on-line, to ensure you have you 'points' you have a 'virtual' card - if you want a physical card to use in the store then ring and ask, no problem. Yes, the cash vouchers have a barcode and an on-line code, the promtional vchrs have either, if you ecoupons you'll need to ask.
Likewise, if you have changed address, you need to inform clubcard, so the vouchers can be sent to the new one - not the old, so again call CC - they can - update your details, send a card, and check your vouchers, etc.

  • I went in to use a £4.00 voucher online about two weeks ago and it said it had already been used but I know I didn't use it. I'm a bit OCD about keeping track of what I've spent and what's left. I thought maybe it was me but it would be the first time ever. I ever only use my vouchers online and then cross through them until the actual coupons for my purchases arrive. This is the first time I've left a post so that's how strongly I feel about it . It was only £4.00 but the principle is the same - it's mine.

I'm now going to try and check when they reckon my voucher was spent. Thank you for your post. With all the traffic it was hard to spot. I think we've genuinely been the subject of someone 'dipping in'

Thankyou Martin and team for this article.

Just checked my Clubcard Plus a/c and all is OK, but will change p/w to be on safe side.

To all who feel unhappy about Tesco response[or lack of],PLEASE send a letter RD, trackable online, to CEO, requesting response within 5 working days[give that date]. Include fact of that necessary add-on cost, too. I have always found clear, courteous, well-written letters bring results and full recompense+goodwill gesture.

Thank goodness I use them off my grocery order as soon as I receive them!!!

    ###############
But they're worth up to 4X face value as Rewards.

I would never use them against shopping. To each their own, je suppose.
