  • I recently discovered on my online account that some vouchers had been spent in a store hundreds of miles from where i live i emailed tesco to query this who refunded my points straight away. My story is different as I only had £9.50 spent which i found annoying so i really feel for people who have lost so much money due to this.

Why don't people look at the wider problem.

Shop at Tesco and have £200 worth of clubcard vouchers

Or over the same period of time,

Shop at Asda and have £250 more left in your bank account.

Not and exact science I agree, but lets be honest clubcard vouchers aren't free are they.

Or you could shop at both, buying the stuff that is cheaper at Tesco from Tesco and the stuff that is cheaper at Asda from Asda. You now have even more spare money in your account as well as some clubcard vouchers. For bigger savings add further shops to that too.

Obviously only works if you have an Asda and a Tesco very close to each other, but then again shopping at Asda over Tesco also only works out if you have one close enough.

Logically that sounds correct, but perversely due to the Asda price guarantee (APG), you might actually be better off buying the dearer stuff at Asda in the long run.

e.g. comparable shop £40 Tesco, £50 Asda (you bought 5 bottles of Robinsons that were £2 dearer at Asda). The APG will issue a voucher for £14.

I shop online at Tesco and have never asked for a clubcard and have never been told I've got one. Yet periodically I get sent physical vouchers, which I use online (apart from the ones it says you can use online but actually you can't). The site says I do have a clubcard but then says it's registered at another address. It doesn't tell me the full number and there is just a link to another site, which asks for a full number so I can't log in. There are no more details available so if someone did steal my clubcard points I'd not be any the wiser. What a bizarre system.
  • I've had over £300 worth of vouchers fraudulantly used! I saw that my contact details had been changed a week ago and phoned Tesco, who said they just couldn't understand how that had happened as you'd need to answer security questions if you phoned or a password to log in, neither of which I had done. They assured me that my account had not been touched and I thought no more. On Sunday I went in to check my vouchers total and 2 years worth of vouchers I had saved had been used. Couldn't phone Tesco until Monday, they took all details, referred it to her supervisor who said Tesco Business would call me back within 48hrs - no call yet though. Phoned the police and reported it to the Internet fraud link that has been mentioned on here. Tesco have said they'll refund the vouchers as this person had bought 'an on-line deal' but hadn't used a clubcard with that so they believed it wasn't me, again this supposedly can't be done on-line without signing in! Will post if I get an update.
  • Tesco clubcard were aware of this problem at the beginning of December as I reported £323 of vouchers in November were used fraudulently in London stores. I was told there wasn't anything they could do and they wouldn't reimbuse me. Checked my account again today and have now lost another £469.
  • As my T vouchers during recent time is zilch, you are welcome to horse trade them!!

You need to contact them again as I believe they may have to change their tune.
  • I had two separate clubcards (one on the credit card and another) and recently asked for them to be merged. They forgot to tell me that I will only be able to see vouchers for one card online but I can telephone them and they can see them on their system! What a rubbish system, luckily I have the vouchers sent in paper form so have them here but what if I had opted to have them online only, I would be totally unaware of well over half of them. Beware

This is really bad! The amount of £792 , and that it was reported and no action taken the first time. Sounds like it's being going on for a while.
If I were you I'd report this to the police through the link given, and phone Tesco again to demand a refund.
