I'm a FTB just got an AIP through and have found a property that I really like!
I'm petrified after reading through horror stories on here for years... I guess I'm looking for some reassurance.
I've read the tips thread but I still feel completely clueless and absolutely naive. I feel like when I was viewing properties that I was doing it wrong.. Did I ask the right questions.. Dd the vendors think me daft?
FTB paranoia I suppose :S
Any help or good thoughts are welcome, I feel like I've thrown myself in the deep end of a pool and can't swim!
Everything you buy involves a degree of risk, be it a car, house, TV or anything else! Being paranoid isn't going to help. You must simply decide on what kind of a house you want, the locations and your budget. You'll read loads of posts here telling not to do this and not to do that - at the end of the day if you really like the property and it doesn't look as if it's going to collapse then go for it!0 -

One thing though.. They have taken all the window keys with them.. Some window locks are open and some are closed.. These locks seem integral to the windows so I'm wondering if there is anywhere I can get some more from or should I chase the vendor?
Congratulations - enjoy your new home and don't let their petty behaviour spoil things for youMortgage-free for fourteen years!
