Morning, I thinks am stalking GG round the diaries this morning.

Pbouk, when I first left home I was paranoid about checking the dates on everything. Now the only two things I am cautious with are shellfish and fish. I'm like GG, if it smells ok, looks ok, it gets used.

The best before date really is just that - I bought a huge bag of carrots for 12p a couple of weeks ago and finished them mid week and they were still fine.

yes i am the same, i dont really pay attention to best before etc thats not what i am talking about!
i was thinking more of after i have cooked meals and stored them in a fridge or freezer. some foods last weeks or months, some dont, i was after that kind of info not about best before or use by dates.
