  • Sat in the airport lounge waiting for my flight back to the big Island after a meeting this morning and am quietly smug that I have soup and pitta waiting in my car for when I get back and head into to office. Plus I've got a couple of packets of biscuits from the lounge as a free treat!

  • No bread in the house and was sick of soup or salad so imagined I would be buying a filled roll from the hospital 'league of fiends'. However, cooked a rasher of bacon and took a pot with my own BLT filling; bought a plain roll (70p) stuffed it with my own filling...delicious and pennies only spent.
  • Today I have LO HM Chinese Food from Saturday.

So a mix of chicken chow mein, egg fried rice with peas and chilli vegetable stir fry. Can't wait till lunchtime.

I never went out during work to get food, it looks like something British not to make your own lunch box. At least that's the impression I get here at work. The British go out while the foreigners bring their own lunch.

I buy Sainsbury chocolate paste and their jam. Then I have a whole bread from Kingsmill.

    Chocolate 1.48
    Jam 1.59
    Bread 1.25
    Fruit ~2.00

I make two sandwiches (so 4 slices) a day. So I spend around ~£6 a week for my lunch. In the morning I eat the cornflakes (35p for 500g) with milk and sugar.
