I will never become a good neighbour again following this!!

It would be interesting to know the legal position on this. In my old house a neighbour across the street had put to try us if she wasn't in I wouldn't mind so much, but she hadn't even asked. Where we live now the husband next door neighbour won't take anything in for us.
I think that I would only take things that are relatively easy to take around any bigger and I would say no.0 -
yes I think you are right mattybach, i think i need to let their complaints deprtment know. if they are like this with there non customers, heven help for the poor sods that actually want to return goods to them. its been four hours since I last spoke to them, it was left that a customer service agent will get back to me for the compensation, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, slowslowslow. I dearly hope they do not present me with vouchersTrinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0

I've had the same experience at times.my favourite is when the delivery people including the postie dont even ring my door bell / knock. I am working away upstairs here the letterbox go with the post come down to pick it up and theres a "sorry you wernt home" card - I was bloody home you just didnt want to try!
Recently, they've even been signing for my Recorded delivery items! But as I receive them I'm not really bothered (until something goes missing, that is!).
Lee, I hope Littlewoods are able to resolve this mess for you soon. G0 -
i wouldnt bother with them again, dont leave the stuff outside, wait for the time tomorrow they said they would be there. if they dont appear sell the stuff off. if they do appear give them the stuff.
you have forfilled any legal argument in relation to this, you have attempted several times to give the owner, their property back at a cost to yourself. if they do not collect the items when agreed, sell them off.
once you have waited and the delivery drivers havent turned up, have a look at what littleweoods have given you as a gift.
it matters not, how flexible THEIR delivery company is. you have given a major company with vast delivery network, 5 days to collect large items. i would say that , that is a reasonable amount of time to store goods at an inconvenience to yourself. if it was a watch or something small, things would be different, but not for something like this.
i was sent a ghd hair straightener extra when i ordered the mrs one a couple years ago. i contacted the company 5 times explaining what had happened. they never sent anyone, i made reasonable attempts to reunited the owner with the item without me having to incur costs. i sold the thing off and ended up paying VERY little for the mrs birthday pressy that year.what is the plural of moose?

Hey Brummybloke, sound words, but the delivery people are not due here until monday (todays thursday), I will be back at work on monday (I was on annual leave this week) so cant simply return the goods to the delivery people, i am just so ticked off they had not come today or tomorrow.
I am also ticked customer services have not got back to me, concerning the compensation request 9how much do you think five days of storage, endless calls are worth??)Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0 -
What a nightmare Lee.
Maybe you should notify Watchdog?0 -

Just sell it on ebay to recoup the cost of your phone calls and a little extra for your time wasted. Littlewoods arent bothered as they havent rang you back to offer you anything, and the more they delay things the closer it gets to monday. Goto the littlewoods website tap the product code into the website, and see how much its worth, and save the picture of the item, and sell it on ebay.
This way you dont have to hump it outside, you actually get refunded the cost of your phone calls, plus a storage fee and something for messing you about. You will get it moved for free at a time you can specify to the person who buys it off you.
I bet you will never hear from them again. I for one know that littlewoods will just claim on the couriers insurance as the item was lost.0 -
I have had so much trouble with Littlewoods in the past!
They said leave it in the garden? Well chances are it wouldnt be there when they came to collect would it?
Sell it, get some money back, you gave them more than enough chances to collect this. You are out of pocket, put out and stressed all for a good deed you did.......And did they say thanks? Not a chnace! Just sell it and if anyone comes or rings for it just tell them you did as they told you and its gone!0 -
the product cost £129.00 (its on the advice slip), its now friday 27th April 07 and still no call for compensation. MMMMMMMMMMMm why do i feel so turned over by littlewoods, your right apduck, littlewoods could not give a hoot about me.Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0
