if i was you keep it and the purchaser will complain they havent received it and then the delivery company will try and chase it up the delivery guys will probablyget the blame as they dumped it on you !
I dont really want it, thats the trouble blinco, its too large to keep here. The purchaser is not going to complain, because I learnt on monday, she actually canceled the order, so no money would be debited from her account.Trinidad - I have a number of needs. UPDATE:
Littlewoods customer services did not ring me back at 7pm as planned. I was really disappointed, I telephoned the customer services again and was told a delivery was planned for the 9th May 07. that was too far a wait, especially as the packages are as tall as me and presented me with alot of problems accessing the street door. i said unless its collected at a reasonable time, i will leave it outside my front garden gate for collection. Customer service said they would supply me the delivery company, and gave me the number (a 0870 number can you believe). I took the number and her name, and asked her to contact them directly, and made her promise to ring me back on thursday at 1:30pm (she starts at 1pm) which she agreed.
As a cheeky gesture, I asked if littlewoods could present me with something for the trouble caused, the 0870 numbers i dialed (i lied, sorry littlewoods, they were all 0800 numbers from saynoto0870)
the lady told me she will need to talk to her line manager, and discuss this with me tomorrow.
not happy!!Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0 -
I think you have shown remarkable patience so far.
I had a similar problem a few years ago with a microwave that was delivered to me in error, i phoned to get it collected and was given elaborate instructions on who to contact and how long to wait in etc
I said 'no lets get this in perspective, its your error i have already gone out of my way to contact you, i will be available to have it collected between 8am and 9am on thursday other wise i will leave it on the common and you can collect it at your leisure, goodbye'
They collected it.WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..
Blimey what was that ?
That was your life mate
Oh I wasn’t quite ready can I have another go ?
Sorry mate only one per person.0 -

Amazingly...as the order had been cancelled if you had not contacted Littlewoods they would never have known you had it. Shame its not something you fancy! We once paid £500 for a pine wardrobe..when we opened it , it was the the same range but wrong design - we asked for the correct wardrobe which was delivered...they told us to just keep the original as well!!!!
I think I would be tempted to get a courier to collect it and deliver it to wherever it originated from...and let them pick up the bill.I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes0 -
UPDATE TWO:
I telephoned the delivery company this morning, littlewoods gave me a 0870 number to dial, but found a local number on saynoto0870. I telephoned the dept, and guess what, littlewoods gave me the delivery contact number 200 miles away from my address, they dont cover my post code. telephoned Littlewoods customer services again, had to request to speak to a senior staff member. Told her my experiences, and strongly urge her to organise collection today or tomorrow. The customer service team leader supplied me with a new collection number to call, but i told her, as these were not my goods, she should arrange for today, or the latest, tomorrow. She refused to keep me on the line while she made enquires to the collection company, and said she will contact me in the next ten -15 minutes. this is my first ever contact with littlewoods and the last.
I am going to request again some vouchers from littlewoods, if she rings back.
total calls made: three calls to littlewoods, one call to the wrong collection dept.
Just received a call from littlewoods, they have told me a two man driver can come to my address on monday, I told them this was not good enough, I need these goods out today, tomorrow at the latest remember i made littlewoods aware of this from monday, four days back). i told littlewoods, to either make alternative arrangements or get the delivery people here by tomorrow at 5pm, or i will dump the goods on the pavement for mondays collection. Littlewoods have rung off to contact the colletion company again.
do you think i am being mean? these goods are not even mine, and they are to big to keep.
eeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr sorry for the moan.
one learning outcome though, never shop with littlewoods!!
Customer service team leader telephoned me back, said the delivery collection dept will ring me directly, waited an hour, no response, back on the line to customer services again, (lovely music pipping in my ear). worse still, the current customer service agent has no notes to refer back to, come on littlewoods!! the new customer service agent is now chasing this up, will contact me back by 4pm, mmmmmmmmm, how organised!!Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0 -
Lee your not being mean, its their problem not yours, state your terms to them and thats it, youve been more than reasonable so now its time to get tough. Youve told them what you expect and that should be it, just dont back down and push for some kind of compensation.
Good luck

Look up your local freecycle yahoo group and post a message, someone will come and collect it pretty quickly for free. Just tell Littlewoods it was stolen outside your house, end of problem! This signature is not mine!0
