Hya, would you believe this? I've only just received a letter from Natwest saying as a goodwill gesture, they are willing to pay me £16 as opposed to the £500+ I am reclaiming. I find this rather insultive. What do I do now?0

hi,
i am trying to reclaim over £3000 from lloyds on their cust support teams advice.(apparantly due to hubby being ill they shouldn't have been charging us for the last 4 yrs). i have sent the first letter, was sent a letter saying they are looking into it... then 4 wks later i had my first reply with £750 goodwill added to my acct. they haven't denied anything or sent me a refusal letter so is there a letter/template that i can download here for accepting this as a partial paymt ? also, since i wrote the first letter lloyds have added almost £700 charges to my acct (in 2 months!!!) .
any help or advice would be gratefully rec'd
helen
p.s. just to let you know that we are reclaiming on lloyds own advice as due to hubby being so ill we shouldn't have been getting chargesfor the last 4yrs (apparantly we slipped through their net! ) but, since the phone call i made to their cust support team when they advised me of the slip-up, lloyds have actually added another £750 charges to our acct !!!! just doesn't make sense that they are still making the same slip-up .0 -
Hello I am currently in the process of reclaiming my charges, I have submitted my claim to moneyclaim online as my bank had refused they'd done anything wrong !! Five days after I filed my claim I received a final response letter from my bank saying that they were sorry I was still not happy and as a goodwill gesture they would deposit £750 into my account within 10days, the letter was dated 30th April, same day I filed my moneyclaimonline but the date stamp on the envelope was 18th May - bit suspicious I think, they have not mentioned the court letter however I chcked my account to fine that there was £750 there - statement read goodwill refund. What I would like to know is do I take this amount and cancel my court claim of the £2225.00 or do I let it run its course?
The bank has not asked me if I wanted this they've just assumed and by the time I received the letter the money was already there.
PLEASE HELP !!!!0 -
Personally, I would still go through with the claim. There is a huge difference between what you are claiming and what they have paid you. I would send them a letter accepting their measley £750, without prejudice, but informing them that you intend to continue with your claim for the remaining amount, unless they are willing to make an offer closer to the amount they actually owe you:dance: Proud to be dealing with my debts0

Dear All,
I require some urgent answers as to what I need to do next!
have been offered £750 as a good will gesture from £1960. I was going to look into this tonight when I noticed the have already paid the money into my account. I wanted to claim the rest of the money, can I still go ahead and do this now the money is in my account?
Also since I started claiming in Feb I have been given around £600 more charges, can I calim these as well?
Many Thanks for all those who can help me! I know the clock is ticking and I need to deal with this ASAP, so any advice will be gratefully recieved!

Lloyds bank I assume, this is their standard goodwill gesture. Check the previous posts and send them the letter as mentioned above.0

Hi
Abbey did this to me, I rang them, and followed it with a recorded letter, saying I had not agreed to this, and would they please remove the money, they still haven't!! I still have the money (but haven't touched it).
I am now waiting a court date, in my MCOL claim I stated as an extra point at the end of my claim that I had received £573 as a goodwill gesture and had deducted this from the amount claimed
I hope this may be of some help

Hi Can you please help we have been in communication with Lloyds TSB with reference to reclaiming our bank charges,
They made us an offer of £750.00 for the £9000.00 plus we have refused this but they have tranferred the money into our account,
We want to hold out for the full amount and we are taking them to court,
What can we do with the money that they have tranffered as a good will refund.
Please advise
Many Thanks

Oh, one more question....can I calim back the charges they have given me since I started claiming back in February? It is another £600. If I can I assume that I can add this to my total?
Many thanks again & best regards!
