Standard procedure from Lloyds, hang on and I'll pop your post into a thread that gives you the wording on how to respond to the bank.0

In that case you'll need to have a read of this thread about reclaiming in Scotland.

In view of the amount you are claiming when living in Scotland and the fact that Lloyds will take it further you might be as well handing your claim over to the Financial Ombudsman but you can read about that in the above thread.
However, do send Lloyds a letter regarding the goodwill gesture and wait for a bit to see what they do.0 -
Thats really helpful information thank you! So I am going to write to the bank saying thanks for the goodwill gesture ('without prejudice' ) and that I will be handing my case over to the FO to recover the rest? Is that right?0

Hi All,
i had a "gesture of goodwill" offer for both my accounts from natwest, they sent them on 1/5, the day i entered judgement on MCOL against them.
They wanted me to complete & sign a form they had sent stating it was for full & final settlement of my complaint & the "Offer Date" was 1st April.
I wrote back telling them that i would accept this as part payment to what i had claimed for through the courts & also stated to them that the "Offer Date" was not the 1st April, as the letter they had sent me was dated 1st May. (I crossed out what they had written & wrote "Unacceptable/Void" through it, & wrote my own statement on the bottom stating that i will accept their offers as part payment only towards the full & final amount claimed)
i also told them i will be expecting the remainder to be paid into my account along with their offers & look forward to hearing from them in the next 7 days.
(They have had my money for too long now):T0 -
hi im after some advice if anyone can help , i am reclaiming my bank charges from the lloyds tsb i sent them the second letter to inform them i will start court action if i do not hear off them in 14 days . I didnt hear off them so i started court action to reclaim £ 2750 including court cost to which i can ask the court to enter judgement on monday as the bank have not responded to the court action , in the meantime the bank have responded to my second letter after 4 weeks and have deposited £ 750 in to my account which is obviously way short of what i am claiming ,my main worry is that if i touch any of the money they have placed in my account may be deemed as an acceptence of there offer . what is the best way of dealing with this ? any advice would be greatly appreciated, cheers0

Don't worry about it. You just deduct that from the total amount as a 'goodwill gesture'. I had £70 credited to mine and was told to just deduct the amount from the gross figure to leave a net figure which I was to claim for.0

Ive taken my bank to court for 8,000 and they have now offered me a goodwill gesture of 1,431, if i do not want to accept this do i relpy to the bank or the court, and when do i have to fill in the court questionare? will this be sent to me? can i accept this as part payment? will they release the money still owed? soooooooooooooo confused Kate.0

I'll just shift this post into the thread where you'll find the wording for refusing a goodwill gesture. You will hear from the court if you have to fill in an AQ.0
