help with letter refusing goodwill gesture please

Hi there- been trying to find relevant thread but here I am. I've basically been on the hubt with both letters and after 8 weeks have received a goodwill offer of £410 for a claim of £900, less than half. I would have replied taking the money but stating I am claiming the rest- but sneaky sneaky they have attached a form where I sign to accept the offer which also signs to say I won't be pursuing the rest or any any other claims.
I am about to move out and desperately need any money just to live (food and rent) in the coming weeks.
Shall I take this offer by returning the signed form (how long until payment??), or hold out, grit my teeth and hope I can salvage the rest by sending a seperate letter stating my intentions to dig my heels in
Help! Ben. 0 -

Hi everyone,
Abbey have given me a good will gesture for my bank charges which i will accept as partial payment for my claim. I wish to continue with the claim deducting the money which has gone into my account. Although the last few days have been eventful i still wish to put the ball back in their court and respond with a letter stating acceptance of the GWG but to contiue to claim for the full amount. Can anybody advise me on what i must put in the letter or have a template i can send to the bank.
Any help would be greatful.

Hi Stuart, you need to put on your letter that you accept their offer as part payment and without prejudice, and that you may wish to proceed to court at a later date for the remainder of your claim, make sure to print a copy for yourself just in case you do decide to go for the rest of your payment at a later date! Goodluck0

Like many others I've had my final offer of settlement of £750.
This letter came after threatening them with court action and they asked for more time to allow them to catch up with mine and so many other claims, which I did.
Now I've had this letter and I'm not prepared to accept. They also enclosed a booklet about the Financial Ombudsman Service explaining why they have these charges.
I remember early in the year that there was a Template for accepting this as a part payment "without preduice".
I've done a search and can't find it.
Help please. thxs0 -

Hi
Is there a template letter for a partial offer?
I have been offered £182 for a claim of £518 for my Sainsbury's credit card(the difference between £25 and £12). I want to accept as partial payment and to continue for the remainder.
Thanks

Hi all,
I've received an offer from Ikano Finance (for my Oasis Store card) for 50% of what I've claimed £96 instead of £192 I wanted.
I don't really think its particularly fair but I'm stumped now and cannot seem to find a template to write back and say I'm not happy with this and I want the full amount or does one not exist?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks0 -
i'm trying to find one of these too!0
