Mother’s Day Bouquet- arrived in the post via Royal Mail on Friday before Mothering Sunday. On opening the box, they looked ok, a bunch of lillies with closed buds.
Put them into a vase with water and added the flower food sachet enclosed. Then waited. And waited. And waited.
Supposed to be double flowering rose lillies, looked pretty spectacular on Prestige website... mine never opened, just went brown, shrivelled up and died.
With reluctance I told my son (after he asked me to send a photo of the flowers which he had sent) that they had died and sent him a photo of a bunch of shrivelled buds. He complained to Prestige- I complained to Prestige, they just trotted out the ‘48 hour window to complain’ after that, forget it. Tried reasoning that lillies can take longer than that to open, but no joy.

Have you tried a credit card or debit card chargeback? The bank agent on the phone will be primed to turn you down. Don't take no for an answer. Tell them that if they refuse you want to turn the chargeback into a formal complaint and that you will escalate it to the Financial Ombudsman. The man without a signature.0 -
I have tried to search the thread, so please forgive me if it is already here, but just to let you know that Home Bargains Flowers are run by the Prestige group too. I just had a lucky escape when a friend mentioned it, and I checked again on the website. Cancelled my order.I appreciate Each and Every win. I thank every comp poster from the bottom of my heart :A0

Ordered flowers, bear and choc's for 40th birthday, choose day 5th June to France, no problem, paid and placed order. Tracking these i thought it strange that they came from Netherlands, (no florists in France then ?), three days later they where still in Netherlands, after a few emails and some frustration, they arrived today 11th, box battered, taped up with DPD tape, flowers had withered, only a miracle, or maybe miracle grow would bring them back to life, so fires off another mail, and long behold, this is the reply ???.
hank you for your e-mail and the attached photos.
I have shown the pictures to our florist manager who has suggested following the flower care instructions provided on the message card. We understand you may know all too well how to look after flowers and this advice is presented out of a desire to help you get the most out of your flowers.
Since the flowers have been in a box for delivery for a day, they will be thirsty and need to breathe fresh air for a while.
It is useful to trim the stems of the blooms at a 45 degree angle to ensure that they can absorb as much water as possible.
Place the flowers in fresh water. Replace the water completely every day with fresh, clean, room temperature water, using the flower feed provided.
After you have followed this care procedure, they should start to look as fresh as when they were first picked. Please don't hesitate to e-mail me after a couple of days if they have not perked up, as we are happy to help you further if they have not improved.
Thank you for your understanding.
Warm Regards,
Hope
Forgive me, but had to include name.

Hi all.
I just thought I would let you all know j have successfully managed to get our money back from these scam artists after non delivery of Valentine's day flowers.
I quoted the consumer Rights act at them particularly section 28 and specified that we had agreed, and paid for delivery on 14.02.2020 and attached a copy of my 'order details'. I then stated they hadn't fulfilled thier duties and I was treating the contract as an end (28)(9).
It's also worth noting that prestige have a responsibility over the flowers are signed for by the customer or someone on their behalf (as stated in the consumer act) therefore (unless I am misinterpretating the the consumer rights act) they really have no way of worming out of it. Though they certainly try their best. I am guessing they realised that they couldn't win as this was thier reply:"We have tried to offer suitable compensation in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the sale that was made, however this solution was clearly not acceptable for you.
As the current state of emailing back and forth is detrimental to both parties, we have decided to refund your order in an effort to give you, as the customer, some level of satisfaction with your experience with our company."
We received our refund this morning!! 👍 best of luck everyone feel free to ask if you need any further help!!
Fingers crossed for you all.2 -
I complained to this company about my bouquet I recieved for Valentines day. They arrived looking like they had travelled from Siberia! I didnt wa t to seem ungrateful to my husband, so I waited for him to tell me that they didnt look anything like he ordered 😁
I messaged the company via Facebook and I recieved a quick reply.
I had a new order dispatched to me on Wednesday, and these are a better quality, and are still alive, but I feel are not worth the price my husband paid.
I will never order from this company again, and have socially posted my experience to warn other folk too. The problem with sending and receiving flowers is that the sender doesnt always get to see the bouquet, and the receiver doesnt know how much has been spent, and is too polite to complain.
Will only use local florists now, and if I need to send flowers to a different town, then I will contact the local florist from that area.1 -

Responsive to my complaint regarding very poor Red roses delivered Valentines day for my wife at a steep £40. They replaced however these were also substandard - not terrible but also not great. They even offered tips to repair the flowers! I provided photos and they offered £10 voucher as though all I really wanted was free flowers and a discount. All I really wanted was some premium flowers and was prepared to pay. Not good value and finally realised I was talking to an AI machine on the email with no intake of my comments and a repeated £10 voucher offer. I’m off to my local florist! If I bought a new Aston Martin I wouldn’t expect to have to get some dents repaired!
