Just a flying visit for now, but wanted to say hello and welcome to the newbies...we will have quite a support network come 1st Jan at this rate xxx

if you could achieve 1 thing in 2013 what would it be?

I can't think of anything in the same league as you welshwoofer but I would like to try and acheive 250 NSD's over the year...that should help me stop spending money and from buying junk food!

Wow thats a hell of a target! I've set mine to 180 minimum
  • Jeezo that is some target - I think I will go for 180 NSDs too.

I have a diary so I will keep track in there & will also update here everytime I manage a NSD.

Ha ha I'm suprised with the reaction as I dont think its that difficult on paper...unless my sums are all wrong!

If I dont take my money or cards to work I will have 5 NSD's a week, I do this already at least 3 days a week. I'm at work 48 weeks a year (other 4 weeks is holidays) = 240 NSD's

I don't normally go out on a Sunday so that means I have the potential to add on another 52 days, but that would be really restrictive!
  • Hey can a happydaddy join your group please i love the idea of supporting one another and encouragement loving the thought of clearing as much debt as i can by 11-12-13 my debt currently stands around 5kish i know that my standard of living isnt great i eat stupid food i stay up late and i turn purple and wheeze my socks when i take the stairs 2013 i want to be a great year for me changing my life for the better financially socially and a better life style alround for me

Right, today is the day to get a grip on eating and exercise. I've just weighed and its not good , although I think some of it is water retention as its hormone time for me and will hopefullly drain away over the next few days.
Either way, I feel swollen and bloated and have definitely overindulged.:o

Before Xmas I'd managed to gain a lb in the run up and it looks like a few more have crept on (water or not) so its time to tackle it before it gets out of hand. Ideally, I'd like to lose another 7lbs - the ones that have stealthily arrived and a few more - I'd then be the lightest I've even been as an adult. But I want to do it properly, like I did before, with sensible food, plenty of exercise and using www.myfitnesspal.com

So, I'm off to the shops this morning to get some nice fruit and veg, will walk the dog on a nice long route and hopefully go swimming (no-one answering the phone there so I'm hoping its not shut).
The Xmas goodies are going in a carrier bag in the attic - sellotaped shut - and will be taken in to school when I'm back.

Ladies (and gents) - feel free to join the Woofer boot camp! If I wait until after New Year I'll do even more damage:rotfl:
  • hey good evening everyone how has your day been :)
  • I'm great - I finished work today & not back till 7th January!!!!

I am soooooooooooooooooo happy about this

Hello PM (and gang) - fab diary! Another one wondering if she can tag along? .. I could have almost written your first post PM and love the idea of losing pounds from both my lardy bum and my debt. I have a lot to lose in both departments so definitely in for the long haul. Having played at dieting for the most part of 2012 (including paying for a gym membership I rarely use), I am determined to sort myself out in 2013. I am joining SW on 2nd Jan and will be back at gym (although only swim as have dodgy knee). I too have a cat, will be 40 on Feb and thinner and richer by Christmas 2013 :)

Good luck with the NSD... I thought I'd done well with 2 in a row :)
