Hey everyone - I am done in!!!
Spent the whole day wandering about town trying to find a dress for NYE & finally got one in the very last shop - I was just about to give up!!
I am just gonna chill out for the rest of the night with the OH.

I have used MyFitnessPal in the past and it really is VERY good
I just have not been in the right place to do it before. For saying it is free too is fab. I have only decided to join SW as I need to have to be weighed or I cheat and think I'll weigh again tomorrow.
Thanks for the pool info woofer - just googled and our pool is only 18m so 44 for me to do 1/2 mile. Maybe I will start with 1/4
Where are you off to for NYE Dolly? I am on call so a quiet one for me with dd and oh.... but no trauma about what to wear! One the things I am so looking forward to not having next Christmasdd won't get so many new clothes... sure there is some displacement going on at the moment ;-)

I had every intention of attending gym first thing Wed morning 2nd to try and start the way I mean to go on and have just found out that something has cropped up and I wont be able to go then so it will have to be 3rd for gym now. Will still be able to watch what I eat though.
Then to top things off - I have just been prescribed some strong steroid cream for eczema - got bored and started to read the notes that came with it and it said it could cause weight gain and face to get rounder. Thats all I bloomin well need .........
I think the forces are out to sabotage my efforts before I even get started. Pass me the choccies

Morning
I woke up at stupid o'clock this morning to the sound of one of my cats coughing up a furball, not the most pleasant of noises I must say _pale_
So after a few cuppa's to wake me up and while watching Little Shop of Horrors I've updated my first post with a list of names...apologies if I've missed anyone or added someone who doesn't want to join in.
I've added a column for monthly weight loss and total weight loss for the year to date (no option for weight gain needed as this wont happen!!).
I've also added a column for £'s loss, as I thought it would be good to keep a note of any extra money we pay to our debts each month, over and above our normal payments. So for instance if I were to pay an extra £50 to one of my loans on top of the Direct debit in Jan then I will put £50 in that column etc.
I'm actually getting impatient waiting to start this challenge...but think I'm going to get a bit of an anti-climax moment when I actually start it and realise my debt will go down very slowly and I'm not going to wake up on 2nd Jan 5 stone lighter :rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Been for a 25 min dog walk and a 5k run so far today. Feel better for it but am very smelly and sweaty so the bath is the next stop for me.:)
Weighed again and have lost another water weight lb - getting closer to where I was before Xmas again now. The flab fighting starts again now though, I think most of the water retention is gone.
A lady on myfitnesspal told me about Tae Bo and a man called Billy Blanks - just googled him and watched a bit of a YouTube video - it looks fab (but quite hard work). Apparently for a 40 min workout (on youtube) you can burn 450 cals - sounds good to me! May have a go later when my legs are working again after the run.
Aiming for a NSD day today - don't need anything and have no plans to go anywhere other than more dogwalking. Fingers crossed.

I have just read through the posts on this diary and I think this is an amazing idea (thank you pm2326). I was wondering whether it would be possible for me to join as well? I am making 2013 the year in which I get myself sorted; I am going to pay off as much debt as I can, stop smoking and try to get myself down to a size 14 (which I haven't been since I was 14!).

Blue-eyed-girl, I can't do gym until the 4th! but I am starting on 2nd... your post did make me chuckle though...
When do you go pennies? Very jealous of all the places I am guessing you are going:D just looking for our hol at the minute .... very MSE camping (to be fair tried it 4 years ago and do really like it... very relaxing and quality fun time with family.... but if I wasn't so in debt I doubt it would be my hol of choice!). Good luck with weigh in today.

Hello can I join as well please? I would like to loose about 19lbs. I have just downloaded the fitness pal app. Thanks a lot for the recommendation it's really good! I cook most stuff from scratch so have no idea of calories etc... So it's opened my eyes since starting to enter some recipes (652 cals for sausage casserole and mash!!). Although unsurprisingly they did not have the option of a whole terrys chocolate orange as a snack :rotfl: crazily I did so much excersize yest that I still ended up under my calorie target :eek: finding it very interesting! :A:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0
