Hi there
I need to lose weight too - impressed with your gym attendance.
You seem to have a very controlled SOA, however, do you actually have £309 'left'' each month?
Why no travel costs?
Could you get your bank to give you an authorised overdraft (which you reduced each month), to avoid the high APR & costs?
Assuming you don't, it probably be good to keep a spending diary to write down every penny spent so you can reflect on where it goes.
Also you would be better off using the £75 which you overpay the mortgage to pay off the debts with high APR. It will get you to debt free quciker & you can then overpay your mortgage with the surplus you have each month.
Hi
Over the last 6 months all my money has gone on the repairs for the house so while I know I waste some of it, I do usually have at least £150 of the £300 left at the end of the month...novembers chunk paid for the xmas pressie's...december's is still sitting in my bank account until I have a plan in place to repay the debts.
I agree that I need to focus on the spending I don't notice.
I use public transport and buy an annual pass through work for a massively reduced price and pay for it monthly..the income stated £1243 is the amount I get in my bank account after I pay travel and for my pension.
I already have an authorised overdraft, I explained in a previous post that I had problems getting them to reduce it every month. The last time I rang lloyds to reduce it, they credit checked me before agreeing and said it would happen every time I asked for it to be reduced...insane!!0 -
Thats crazy that they will credit check you every time!!!
Get a certain amount of money tucked away every month then pay it all off in one go when you have it all

I am thinking of weighing in on a Saturday. Anyone else know what their plans are?
PM well done on gym
RE SOA I agreed with the others, no travel cost and paying debts before the overpayment on the travelcost.
I see you have an NRAM debt, could you be due a refund in the recent interest gaffe? Will keep my fingers crossed for you.
HHx
I'm going to weigh myself on the 1st of every month, that way I'm not worrying about it every week or depriving myself if I know I'm getting weighed the next day...hopefully I will know if I'm making progress by how my clothes fit.
My loan with NRAM is not affected by the missing wording on the literature or the new CCA issue so no I wont be getting a refund sadly0 -
First of the month seems like a good plan.
see what the damage is on the 1st of january!
Happy Christmas!Nevertheless she persisted.0 -

Happy Christmas!
Would it be classed as cheating if I set an expectation of putting on a stone between now and 1st ...coz it will make me feel brilliant when I don't do that :rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Ooh can I please join in too? Im new and a bit shy.
I need to shed £22k debt and about 4 stone. Im also new here and would probably benefit from sharing with someone.
Im planning to start WW on Saturdays - the class is in the morning when I seem to weigh less lol!! I've tried going it alone in the past and not paying for slimming groups, but it always ends in a pizza fuelled disaster.
I've got 2 cats too. For fellas so small, they sure make enough mess. I chhanged my bedding today and within 10 minutes one of them had decided it was catnap time, jumped on the bed and had to walk all over with muddy paws until he found a comfy spot.0 -
Can I join you too? I have lbs and pounds to lose. (And 2 cats).
I've lost three stone with Slimming World over the last 16 months (it was three and a half). I weigh in on Saturday mornings - fortunately, I go to a great group. I think I need to lose another 4 stone before my holiday in August.
I would love to be debt-free by Christmas 2013. In theory, that's doable but the house needs quite a bit of work doing to it so I might need to save some and spend some.
I might get round to starting my own diary for January, but you seem to have gathered quite a team around you!
Have a great Christmas everyone! :santa2:0 -
