    Merry Christmas Everyone :xmastree:

Hope everyone's had a lovely day with their families xx

I've been back from mum's for an hour, fed the cats and thought I'd pop on for a bit whilst having a cuppa and waiting for water to heat up so I can have a lovely long soak in the bath.

I'm absolutely stuffed from xmas dinner even though we ate at 1pm! Mum offered to make my tea aswell before I left but had to decline as my tummy is complaining about all the rich food I've eaten already ;)

She thinks I don't eat much at home so she's sent me back with half the turkey, stuffing, xmas pud, cream, mince pies and xmas cake....she even bought me two boxs of chocolates as part of my xmas present :rotfl::rotfl:
  • Oh very nice honey glad you had a great time.

We went to an Indians for Christmas dinner then went for drinks.

Today we went visiting some friends & family then went to my Mums for Boxing Day dinner it was lovely but I am totally stuffed!!!!

I got my monthly pass from WW so I am going back on Saturday morning & I am dreading ittttttttttttttttttttttttt

I know its gonna be bad but the main thing is that I am going to deal with it soon.

    Dxxx

    Evening

I think I'm coming down with an illness....I haven't had any chocolate or alcohol yesterday or today and I don't even want it :rotfl::rotfl:

No seriously, I had my xmas dinner yesterday and didn't bother having anything else to eat all day, it wasn't a huge dinner, turkey, stuffing, 3 smallish roasties, cauli, brussels & 2 pigs in blankets. Followed by xmas pudding an hour later.

Today I've had 2 crumpets for breakfast, turkey with mashed potato and gravy for lunch, a bacon sandwich for tea and 2 mince pies and that's it....now I know that may sound a lot to some people but believe me I'm overweight for a reason, ie I normally eat far more than this.

I'm actually looking forward to the gym tomorrow and in a way I wish I was starting my new diet from tomorrow...however there is still too much temptation in the house for that to happen and I'll be drinking new year so makes more sense to wait.

Bearing in mind I'm going to follow SW eating plan while trying to save money, I've been thinking about next week and what I can take to work for lunch. I want to avoid sandwiches as the bread would be my healthy b but I feel this limits me. Also I'd save money as no bread or fillings needed.

I've checked my freezer and already have 4 cartons of yellow split pea and ham soup & 3 cartons of chicken & veg broth. Have loads of different frozen veg in there aswell.

Does anyone have any nice tasty recipes for homemade soup that I can make ahead of time and freeze? Dont mind if they have meat in them or they are just veg aslong as they are tasty...I can adapt them to fit SW if needs be
  • I love soup and it fits in very well with SW.

No recipes I'm afraid - I just boil / steam the vegetables and put in the blender. Then I stir in "something" else if it is needed eg Worcestershire/soy/ sauce, a blob of chutney - anything really. Sounds awful but it's usually really tasty!

It freezes well and is great for work. Like you, I don't want to use my HEb for bread. I can go for days without eating bread, but then I become strangely addicted and can't stop eating it ... :o

Do we have the same mum? Mine has just sent me home with a carrier bag full of leftovers, cheese, crisps, mince pies etc - basically anything that isn't meat (I'm a veggie) but she sneaked a little box of meat scraps in for the dog. I could have been marooned on the M6 for three weeks and not got hungry!

I'm having a quiet day back at home watching a film, eating some naughty treats and walking the dog and then come tomorrow I'm back on the straight and narrow.:A
I amazed myself by actually going for a 5k run on Xmas morning (I know!) but did nothing other than dog walking yesterday. Just going to ring the pool to see if they are open for lane swimming in the morning and then will hopefully drag my bloated body there - hope I don't get harpooned by an over enthusiastic life guard:rotfl::rotfl:
I'm weighing in the morning to assess the damage :eek::eek:
  • Can I join you all too please??? :)

I have many many lbs to lose and would love to gain some of these £££s.

I think D-Day for me is going to be 2nd Jan when things are back to 'normal' or as normal as they ever get.

Hopefully we will all gain support from each other in our weight loss challenge.

    Good luck everyone

Need to shed about 5stone in total. Any help I can get with supporting each other will be greatly appreciated.

Just been thinking - if you could achieve 1 thing in 2013 what would it be?

I think mine is to run a full 10km without stopping - if I can do that surely the weight loss will sort itself out with all of the training needed :)

Just a flying visit for now, but wanted to say hello and welcome to the newbies...we will have quite a support network come 1st Jan at this rate xxx

I can't think of anything in the same league as you welshwoofer but I would like to try and acheive 250 NSD's over the year...that should help me stop spending money and from buying junk food!
