Chased DD back to bed twice. Printed my letter, all sealed and ready to post. Eaten leftover bolognese, with hm chili jam stirred in, lush. Now baileys and a mince pie and the soaps for me. Will do the last it's of wrapping before bed.

    Evening all

Just popping in to update my list. Its been a long couple of days with lots of running around. Spent yesterday evening at DD's carol concert :D She was in the choir and got a one-line solo when they sang "Fix You", rather appropriately it was "When you feel so tired, but you can't sleep" which is a regular occurrence in this house :rotfl:. It was the first time X and I have heard her sing in public (karaoke at family parties not included) so we were both just a little chuffed :D There were GCSE/A-level students singing solos and one or two gave me goosebumps they were so good, so I've challenged DD to be up there in 4 years and the same standard ;):rotfl:

Right, best get this list updated and sort out the shopping lists for tomorrow. If its gone its done or not applicable.

    Personal:
Fri: Finish Xmas shopping with DD

    Xmas (for weekend):
    Finish cards
    Wrap gifts
Bake mince pies (with DD on Sunday)
Ice Xmas cake (bought it, but wasn't paying £8 for a pre-iced & decorated one so I got marzipan and icing to do it myself, costing max of £5 and DD can have the leftovers as a treat)

    Xmas eve (ref)
    Change beds

  • evening flyladies and flygents, just popping back in to report some flying under the radar:p:p:p

DD2 taken to University Campus Suffolk in Ipswich today - had a jolly good look round.....most of where DD2 studying is located in one 7 storey building -so I was up and down flights of stairs like no tomorrow, had a good look round accommodation block too....very impressed....met course tutor and once DD2 was at ease with him she was chatting away like a good'un, which is just aswell as I could have quite cheerfully wished a hole to open up in the ground for me to jump into at that point as my "Brave Face" was all used up by that point.

Tutor seemed quite impressed with her, and I am hoping that she will get a conditional offer from them (getting £1000 a year off tuition fees would be nice,:money::money::money: but not the main reason she is considering them)

I dropped her back at her college, I was going to nip into Mr A's but was all out of spoons....got DS from nursery who promptly threw up in the car and then again on the carpet when we got home....so my v@x has had a good workout :(

DS didn't protest about having a nap, so I got my head down for a couple of hours aswell

DS clothes are having a good soak, the bathroom has been de-fumigated of stomach acid and all ready for DD1 to come and have a nice bath when she gets in. DD1 room tidied and bed made ready for her. The small kitchen freezer has had all its drawers washed tonight and stocked up from outside chest freezer with all veggies I have in my possession as I may have to pull an abort on a shopping trip for fresh veggies now.....unless I can get a decent on-line delivery slot.

the turkey is in the outside fridge to start it's defrost ready to slam in oven overnight on Monday.

I have sorted out all my whoops sticker bargains to make meals and treats to get all of us through to Monday night- all in carrier bags so I can pull one bag out each night to defrost on the side in the kitchen....with DD1 almost home its worth putting the oven on for long enough to cook proper meaty dishes (homemade cherry pie is on the menu for tomorrow night, don't think I will be getting any complaints about that :D)

DD1 is currently making her way across the Underground and will be home is just over 2 hours.

Going to go to both pharmacies to empty their shelves to tide DS and I over the holidays, then I *WILL* ring the midwife for some sensible advice - get DD3 from school at 12.30 then that's my lot til DD1 and DD2 friends arrive on 27th (hopefully)

right time for a lurk, a quick nap and wait for alarm to go meet DD1 from station :j:j
The cold never bothered me anyway
  • Washing in TD folded. Dog bedding washed (including the wet muddy stuff from the back of the car) and dried. The dog smells lovely, so I thought I would wash his bedding so it didn't make him smell again :p He will be smelly again by tomorrow night, no doubt :)

Not done much tonight again. I am getting my hair cut at 10am, and I think I will try and get some toys put away in the summerhouse if it is not raining. Then i need to declutter the DR and put up the last of the decorations (I finish work tomorrow, so no little ones to muck it up). I will also clear all the work surfaces in the kitchen & utility, and clean the bathroom. That sounds like a plan :D Oh, and I need to do 2 hours work, and wrap some presents.

We may visit my 103 year old godmother tomorrow, to deliver her present :D

Only 1 left to wrap. The cola cube vodka. Just sniffing it makes me feel tipsy lol.

Feels weird being all organised. I really don't have anything I need to do. Except visit granny in her new home when she's settled in.

And keep clean and tidy, of course.

    Night all. X

I have shaved some of the singed carpet so it doesn't look as bad, then watched tv with DS2 for an hour.

DS1 just in from work, DH not home yet.

Going to load DW and wash a few bits up then off to bed. Last carol concert at the primary school for me tomorrow after 12 years.
