Morning from a very happy Jazee who has managed to keep up with the lists this week, first time in a long time. I think I must be running on adrenaline now as have had a third night with little sleep, due this time to something blowing about in neighbours garden in all the wind and rain.
My list for today:
Sort out finances (early pay day, got to make it last!)
Go through TV guide (already started, and stopped, really boring)
Shredding
Wash bathmat
Clean bath & shower
Clean toilets
Clean sinks
Hoover/sweep/mop through house
Right off to wash up breakfast dishes then prepare myself for the paid stuff. Dogs won't get walked this morning due to the rain.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
My meal out was a mixed bag. Good company but sparrow size food portions put a slant on it. I'd had lunch at a Jamie O restaurant with DH so I shouldn't have gone home at the end if the evening feeling hungry.
RANT ALERT
DH and the kids left the kitchen in a right mess. The DW hadn't been put on and the surfaces were covered in takeaway containers. Plates of congealing food were scattered over any available space. The hob had saucepans of baked on rice and soggy vegetables at odd angles. Splatter marks everywhere. All the ironing I did yesterday is still sitting in the table and hanging from door frames. They are all so unbelievably lazy.
As you've probably guessed I'm not in the happiest of festive moods. I'm full of cold and feel lousy.
I have to galvanise myself to get the rest of the wrapping done. I've called into work and my lovely employer has told me to stay away. A cold is very bad news for her. I have 2 extra days to get myself organised normally this would be a godsend but I just want to go to bed and sleep until I feel better.
Christmas calming vibes for anyone in need....0 -

No!
Been up to town for a very quick pop into wilco, toilet seat purchased, plus smarties
so tots have eaten those whilst I fitted said loo seat and cleaned loo whilst I was there.
Batch of cookies made whilst oven on. I'm having chicken in red pesto with mozzarella topping, tots are having lasagne.
Kitchen dailies done. After lunch I think we'll go upstairs so I can get the spare bedding out. Hopefully persuade tots into a nap.
Mum just phoned, my granny is being moved to a nursing home tomorrow
it seems the hospital can do no more for her, the damage has been done. They don't expect much improvement to her mobility, so she needs round the clock care.
Luckily, there is a lovely one (£700+ pw ) just round the corner from my mums. This seems to be the best of the 20 or so my aunts have visited, and means she will have more frequent visitors too.
The little ones are playing with the nativity set and singing "Mary had a baby, yes, lord" lol bless em.Bossymoo

Afternoon everyone
CY - I'm ok now but the kids are going downhill rapidly, I think the only reason they have gone to school is because a] I have implemented strict rules about what constitutes a sick day and what doesn't and b] they are both doing Xmas things today and tomorrow otherwise they would both be trynig very hard to pull a sicky lol. I'm not being mean about being ill its just that they have both tried and succeded in having time off for being poorly when they weren't so now the thermometer comes out and if there's no temp rise or sickness etc then they go in!
Having a productive morning so far, little bits being sorted that make a big difference to how tidy the place is
Hugs to Mumto5

GI I really hope that company get some come uppance for messing your DD around. It seems to be more and more common that a trial shift is done and no job is available at the end of it. It's a trick employers are using to get free labour.
I've wrapped half a dozen presents. Now DD1 and DS1 are in the house so I'm a bit stuck as I have gifts to wrap for them. It's much easier on the dining room table than on the bedroom floor.
The T shirt we bought for DD's new BF is the wrong size. Good thing we have to go back on Saturday.
I'm praying the new part for my top oven turns up before Tuesday. I'm really going to struggle with only one oven.
Our numbers for the big day are down by 4 to 12. My sister has pneum0nia. I'm worried for her but annoyed too as she's brought it on herself by not taking AB's and now it really has bitten her in the bottom.0 -
Hi there. I've not posted for a few days as been in and out, and out and in! I've just had a quick read back and congratulations to Goodintention's OH, what a way to get a new job, just at the very time he wanted one, and 'two fingers' to the company he is leaving! Commiserations to all those still searching, for themselves and any loved ones.
Good health wishes all round to those still feeling poorly, there are so many folk ill this month, I'm sure a lot of cough, cold and flu viruses are mutating.
I've been a good little flyer! Cleaned through, ALL ironing now done, 'corners' done, friend's flat cleaned again and big shop done for him. Still walking next door's dogs and off I go to work shortly. I've still some wrapping to do but have now bought all I want to get and most is done.
We go off again tomorrow to Gloucestershire - to see family and friends this weekend - at least I don't have it write all the notes for the cat sitter, re the new cat, I can use the same ones and have got some of their favourite food in! I do worry about them!! Said cat is settling in well and is a lovely boy.
I'm back on the aft of the 23rd, then will finish things off, get last bits of fresh food etc, and make sure I've everything for OH. I'm working Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, so won't be resting!
Good vibes all round and I hope everybody's plans go well. R x0
