Not many people in Mr T's as it turned out; when we got to the checkout, there was a bored-looking young man sitting there with no-one to serve, so we got through quick.:T

For once, GP surgery got my script right - it may have helped that when I emailed the request, I put a note that I have two forms of morphine, and this time round, I need both of them, and I said when I'd be in to collect the script and to please ensure it's ready for me!;)

I'll take it into town Friday morning (Mr LW is on leave for Yule) as the reliable pharmacist should be on duty then.;)

Mr LW has since then coloured my hair for me; I was looking like a red-and-silver badger again; and we suddenly realised if we didn't do it today, we'd have no further opportunity til 29th December.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Lovely Lodger has gone. She gave us Nigellissima as a thank you for her stay and said that Nigella is v. popular in Italy. Interesting, I thought.

Thanks for your kind thoughts for Dog Lamewolf. She's much better.
    Better is good enough.

I've been to Mr Ts after work and then come home and had tea. I've still got to put some of the shopping away and then I need to do the dishes and empty and reload the WM and TD.

Doing quite well now on the tidying front. Checking the bank accounts now whilst my dinner cooks, I didn't realise it was so late.

Dailies done and last present wrapped. Been to voluntary job an extra morning. Managed to get DD to take the bulk of the presents down to her house.

Went to SW and have managed to lose half a pound. Dont know how.

Will catch up on the house stuff tomorrow.

Hugs spoons and sticks where needed.

I am shattered after 2 days with DGS1 (4½) and DGS2 (2¾) - but it was definitely well worth all the effort! They are happy and so are we. And yesterday evening, while my DH was out at a wargamers' Xmas party, I got to just sit and chat to DD over a simple but tasty meal followed by a glass of cherry brandy (only a small one - it's Croatian and very potent!), and in the middle of our relaxing evening my DS2 rang us :)

The DGSs made me laugh when they arrived: the first thing they wanted to do was to check that I had put their school photos up as I promised, one on the landing and one in the room where they were going to sleep. Fortunately I had! :rotfl:

There are now 3 extra lots of bedding to wash, but that's a very small price to pay for having some of my family here. It's only the second time any of them have visited in the 3 years we've lived in this house - usually we go to them, as my two DSs live close together (and not far from my exH), so it is much easier for us and my DD and her family to go to them (and she can visit her father too) than for all of them to come to us, IYSWIM.

DGS2 has an obsession with Blut@ck, so I couldn't stick the cards up on the banisters before they came, or he would have had them off again in no time  That will be another job for tomorrow.

    Christmas has officially begun :D
