The FOS are 2 months behind, so you should hear something soon.0

Does this mean 2 months before they get round to looking at your case? My OH and myself have 4 'complaints' between us with the FO since July and neither of us are getting anywhere. They haven't even been allocated yet never mind waiting to hear from the bank/cc company!
Getting very disillusioned now and thinking is it worth it............I know they are really busy but court isn't really an option due to the difference in scottish law.0 -
They are not even looking at complaints for about 2-3 months.
But at the end of the day, theres no fee, and no other option0 -
And here was me thinking things would be quicker without bank cases to pursue! lol :rolleyes:0

Me too.
My credit card claim has been stayed, and my letters to the court with proof that it is wrong, are hitting a brick wall.
The OFT have a lot to answer for.0 -
Hubby chased up FO yesterday about a Crap1 claim going on since July. They said oh! they have made an offer of £862 on a claim of £950. Would get offer out in post. When we called them a week ago they had not had anything of Crap1. Later in the afternoon, Crap1 call and start getting really shirty saying we are holding it all up as the offer was put to the FO 2 months ago (I don't think so). Woman got very lairy and loud and said just sign the offer and return it then we can move on to pay it up. My hubby said hang up now or I am doing it for you and promptly did! How rude. Do we accept offer and if we don't are we taking a chance going through MCOL with the stays????0

I thought the stay wasnt applicable to credit card claims?0

I havent found the Ombudsman too help[ful so far. I wrote to them end of July, despite emailing them asking whats happening only response i got was that they have a heavy caseload!! Im claiming under the hardship rules.
I got a letter from them today saying that they had contacted the bank and that they have eight weeks from the date i made them aware of hardship, doesnt state if thats eight weeks to respond or eight weeks to pay up. U would have thought ombudsman would have given me a copy of any letter they have sent to the bank or explained what they had said to them, but they havent. Not impressed with them i have to say!!
I have emailed the bank now and said that i understand they have had a letter from FOS and could they let me know whats happening with my claim!! As i have also just requested all statements to loan account so i can claim back PPI payments i dont suppose they will be in much of a hurry!! (just like i wont be to repay it once ive moved my accounts)!! I did also send a letter and an email to the CEO, which i have had no acknowledgement of!!!! Once this is sorted they can stick their accounts where the sun dont shine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I now need to restart another claim with them for charges in the last few months, so here goes!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
"I thought the stay wasnt applicable to credit card claims?"
Exactly, thats why it should have been lifted but the judge refused to consider it.0 -
I made a claim from Barclays for 5 years of PPI from loans whilst unemployed and retired amounting to almost £5000 last December.
Since that time I have been in touch with the Ombudsman and finally filed a Small Claims Court action online. Since taking out the Small Claims, the Ombudsman will no longer take up my case and this is now in the hands of a judgement from the court.
As I have been retired for almost 5 years now I think I have a good case but should the judgement go against me, will I be able to go back to the Ombudsman? Also I feel I have a right to cancel the PPI despite the court judgement and is there anyone out there with similar experience or perhaps can offer a little help on this matter. It would be greatly appreciated.
