Trip into town went well today, I limited my shopping time by only paying for an hour in the car park and after using an Xmas voucher I only had to pay £5 extra! Some clothes though so not in my grocery shopping anyhow!

Just the vet Bill to get through today and God knows how much that will be, think my piggie will need to go in for an op next week so hopefully today will be cheaper!

Blimey it's moving fast! Just did a quick catch up but sadly my multiquote hasn't worked but wanted to say green fairy, they sell the Linda McCartney sausages at Lidl. And I can't remember who it was that mentioned dishwasher tablets, but I buy either the Aldi or lidl ones and cut them in half (both are good housekeeping recommended). A box lasts forever that way and everything still comes out clean.;)

Went to Morri£ons last night, got lots of yellow sticker veg, frozen spinach, bananas and yogurt (diet has started). Spent another £5.17. Sadly no reduced meat but will keep trying! :)

Not a regular, but I saw a free iPhone app and thought of you. The app is called Lift and helps you monitor and create good habits. I have added the typical no alcoholics drinks as a habit and also if you search then you can also add No Spend Days.
  • Popping in to report our first weekly shop of the year. We spent £83, which seems quite a bit but we stocked up on toiletries and cleaning products. We should have enough for school lunches and all meals until next Friday.

    This thread moves so quickly!

Well I decided to empty and clean my second fridge today. Packs of cooking fat for the birdies as oops they are 2011 dated!!!Now sipping my cuppa with its 2nd used teabag(yorkshire tea makes 2 mugs).
DD thought I was mad when I started preparing food at 10 am but Ive done the remaing carrots from Christmas with half a bag of sprout, some oldish potatoes(pre Christmas shop)and frozen peas.Hasving breaded garlic chicken with it. Have taken out some frozen HM stuffing, yorkies ,frozen apple and frozen crumble, sausages for tomorrows sausage casserole/cumberland sauce in jar at the ready. So tonight we will have a feast! Some of it will be leftover for tomorrow(the casserole is for tomorrow) so I will just add anything I need then veg wise. I do like to cook 2 days worth at a time to save fuel. Thawing out some bread also and got my small breadbin from my loft and I will put the big one away as it's one of those big terracota crocks which you lose your hand it and it's too big for us now. This has caused waste over the past year so now it is yet another small thing sorted! I am going to start using my soapnuts again as I've been using homemade laundry liquid and fancy a change. I do use the commercial stuff occasionaly to brighten up the wash though. NSD for me today-I will only venture out to get DS from work!

Spent £1.24 on some regina mega kitchen roll to use to clean the windows. DH has been moaning, they are pretty bad but don't want to pay a window cleaner although the worse sets are the middle floor and top floor front windows which aren't very reachable. Still it's better than nothing.

Also £3.95 to take off for breakfast food.

Went to Mr T and the Nouvelle toilet rolls were £2.50 for 9 rolls which still works out better than the ones I bought at L!dl so I picked another pack and some half price fabric conditioner for Mossy's Market. :)
Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!

Ended up spending a bit less than I had planned today. Turns out Mr. T Express doesn't carry any spices BUT the most expensive ones. Ended up getting two of the spices I needed in Aldi though.

    Total spend of today: £1.53

I also walked the 3 mile round trip to homebase to have a look around. No lavender. :(
