Happy New Year everyone!
Well so far I've managed 2 NSDs. I did my weekly shopping on Monday as I didn't want to go out on New Year's Day, so I'm counting that for this week.
I went to MrA first and the whole total was £37.40 but I had price guarantee vouchers and money off vouchers to use so only spent £18.06 from my savings card. Then £14 in M&S and £2.24 on eggs, so the total for this week is £53.64. I still have a lot of food left in the freezer, so I'm working my way through it all slowly2025 Fashion on the ration

Add a vitamin c tablet (crushed up) to it. If using BM put it in with the liquid first. Dont know why it works but it really does help bread be more airy!Home Schooling mum budgeting for 2 adults, 2 teens, 2 little ones & 3 cats

Just got to make that last the week now :eek:0 -
Okily dokily I finally got my Mr T delivery and spent £63.80 on a whole list of stuff but I wrote a meal plan and list to coincide with it and STUCK to it for the first time ever! I am so proud!
Then I discovered that we needed loo roll and a few other non-food bits (Calgon/food bags/paracetamol etc) that amounted to £20.35. (Again writing a list and sticking to it- YIPPEE)
THEN I realised I forgot to buy eggs and had ran out of soap powder (was half price-BONUS) so had to dash out again and bought them both to the amount of £7.79!

Hello. Please can I join and try to save on the housekeeping?
My store cupboards and freezer are both full but not necessarily with the right foods, cleaning products and toilettries. Wastage is a problem too. Spending was uncontrolled last year and must be reduced and more organised.
I like the idea of predicting a total spend and reducing it monthly in stages and also the idea of No Spend Days. A spending diary is going to be a must for me. I will need lots of support and help that I hope to get from the Forum.
I would choose to include anything that can be bought in a supermarket as groceries, rather than just foods; my challenge for January will be £400 with 10 NSD
I will give this a try so please wish me luck!

Yay another NDS for me - FIL birthday party tonight so no need to buy anything for dinner - also "recycled" an unwanted tin of chocolates for his present and made the cards so technically all free! (sounds tight but it is exactly what he would have done too!!)
Will need bread and milk tomorrow - DH made some HM bread this morning but it didnt quite go right - we ate it but think we could do with a loaf tomorrow!May GC 433.32/ 350  Apr GC 263.43 /300
