  • Me please !! I would rather have had a jaffa cake to dip in them as well, but you and baby seem to have eaten them all !! I will make do with the bag of Haribos I am munching on whilst writing reports :o

Glad you enjoyed the class last night. I was never much good at the whole new mum, baby talk striking up conversation thing......but that said when pregnant with DD1 there were only four of us in the class. One never came back, after the first visit, I think we scared her away !! The other was slightly scary in her own special way and the third became one of my closest friends and has been now for over 15 years. Thankfully she had plenty of other things to chat about other than babies which helped. My DD1 and her DS1 are as close as brother and sister and it has been lovely watching them grow up together xx

I will await my brew now ! Byee xx

Ooh and what a naughty little cat Leo is, I came down this morning and he'd run off with my jaffa cakes! So I scoffed the remaining 3 this morning for breakfast and thought of you DFw, one for you, one for me and one for the baby :D

Oh hmm, i'd rather you give it to me than ate it for me :rotfl: although perhaps the chocolate fudge cake I had for breakfast will have to just do for now :p

NCT class last night was good, I still feel awkward around people I don't really know. I found it easier to talk to them about the games we were playing than to strike up conversations. I will get the knack of it eventually I hope. They were all really lovely though and hoping this will be the start of a network of people I know in Bristol :)
I'm the same too, as you've read on my diary :rotfl: keep on though, you'll find at least one person that you'll just click with and that will be that :) just like Mrs Pg says :T

Right, off to hunt out the choccie fingers, who's for a brew?
Yes please my milk is frozen still so only herbal here at the moment

Those kind of 'forced' situations can be very hard but do keep persevering..you only need 1 or 2 to start building your support network :)

    Have a great weekend :)

DFw that picture is SOOOOO cute! For some reason I thought Duke was bigger, no wonder he's scared of the husky next door!!!

Hope you're having a good weekend too Mrs B :)

OH came in at 10:30 this morning all upset, he's really struggling with the realisation that to one of his groups of friends he's just there to make up the numbers most of the time. They're the group that have never really made much effort with me. I think he was trying to organise a baby shower, and the friend he called basically said they were all busy doing something else the weekend he was organising it for. He feels really let down by them bless him and took it quite to heart. Luckily though baby started kicking around and stretching like mad so she took his mind off it and I told him that to us he'll always be number one, not second best like they see him :)

Have spent some time weeding the border in the garden and OH has raked up all the leaves. The veg is growing nicely although I'm a little concerned the onions and garlic have sprouted before the frost. I'm sure they're meant to wait until after winter grrr. Oh well I can always buy some more.

Reusable nappies have arrived, they've sent the wrong wet bag and half the colours are wrong but nevermind they're just going on her bum so who cares really. We just need the colour pack for the pushchair and the car seat with base to arrive now.

OH has given me £125 towards the car service, half the service that is, so I've split it between my current account and my computer savings. I need to file some expenses but until they come in I have no money in my current account, so will use that instead of dipping into the savings. I'm now at 30% of my computer savings, yay :D I'm enjoying saving for it and that's the best change so far I think.

Right, this baby is making me very tired today (she must be having a growth spurt), so I'm going to put some n3tflix on and curl up in front of the tele. Hope you're all having a good weekend xx

Evening! Had a few more fleabay sales over the weekend that I put in the postbox a good 15mins before postie arrived so no running today. Although latest baby update is I think some of my plug has come away :D Hoping it's not the sign of an early baby though as it's not of the bloody nature :) sorry for TMI by the way.

Went for yummy biscuits and catch up with lovely MSEer today. Was nice to speak to someone that wasn't a cat! about normal things yay :D

Have updated my signature to take into account the latest additions to the computer fund from fleabay sales. I only have £400 left to find now :) Really enjoying saving for it. I still have about £400 left from my £1000 I had extra, trying not to spend it though. Have just submitted my expenses that I keep forgetting to file so that's £102ish to come back onto my work Am3x. I'm going to stop using the am3x unless I have high hotel expenses as it's so much easier for it just to come out of my account and go back in again and I tend to forget that the bill needs paying.

I have 2.5 weeks left of work, I cannot wait! I soooo didn't want to get out of bed this morning, so much so I fell back asleep then panicked as I had a conference call at 10:30 that I thought I had missed, however it was only 9am when I woke back up again :)

Hurrah more good news for the Kerri household. OH went for a job interview and didn't come to bed until stupid o'clock last night doing the dev test, which in turn meant I didn't sleep properly (note to self must wash bedding as I sleep better with fresh linen). But the good news is they've called and said they'll arrange to meet up with him mid-December to talk contracts for him to start mid-Jan :D Which means he can take his 2 weeks unpaid paternity, which he would get anyway as not been in current job long enough to qualify. The new job is more what he wants to be doing, albeit with a smaller company, and he'll be happier there as he won't have to deal with his current manager anymore :) I don't think they'd be offering to him if they were going to offer him less than what he asked for, as he told them he wouldn't drop lower. So now it doesn't matter if current employer tells him they're not renewing his contract, or they're going to further extend his probation as he has a fallback that's much better than what he's got already whoopwhoop. It's also slightly closer to home so he should make it home in 30mins instead of 45mins down the cycle track.

Cats have just started running around like little loonies!

I need to go and pickup my electric propagator from the delivery office in a minute. I'm going to pop to Morries on the way and get some gravy for tonights freezer meal of veggie cottage pie mmmm, was yummy the first time so canne wait. We'll have it with extra veggies and it means hardly any cooking required winner, winner! Will also grab some bits and pieces for Christmas and hide those in the bed so OH doesn't find them. They've got Pr1ngles on offer with the lowest price I've seen in years, so will grab a few packs of those and maybe eat an entire pack myself this afternoon...naughty, naughty!

OH really appreciated the chocolate I bought him yesterday, although he appears to have eaten it all in one sitting! How anyone can eat chilli chocolate that quickly I have no idea.

I'm off to London for work tomorrow, however have found the latest train I can catch is 7:30 which is so much more hospitable than the 5am I thought I would have to get. I'll book tickets through qu1dco in a bit so I can get cashback as the tickets are over £100. Have arranged to meet up with a colleague I've not seen for ages and we're off out for some grub tomorrow night after the meeting, is a bit of a send-off which will be nice. Have decided I'm going to cancel Cardiff on Thursday as no doubt I will get home late tomorrow and Thursday I'll be dead on my feet, any time travelling at the moment wipes me out for days.

    Right, off out I go :) x

Just popping on briefly as I'm feeling a bit glum, seems to be something going round with us lot this week. I'm blaming mine on pregnancy hormones.Finances... have filed over £400 of expenses which should come back next week. My "accessible" savings pot is looking a bit sparse as I've also just spent *cough* £400 *cough* on a GPS triathalon watch for OH. I'm going to take it away with us on our romantic weekend and if by the Sunday dinner time he hasn't popped the question, I shall pull it out and ask him. I have been told there are some situations where you just can't say no to someone, and I think if we've had an amazing weekend then it'll be one of those perfect moments that we'll never get again. He will then probably say no and I will cry, but at least I tried :D Plus I can take the watch back within 28days. I was a good girl and ordered via cashback and used a discount code, the thing was meant to be £500!!!!

Spent £25 on Wednesday out with work for some dinner, they gave me some lovely gifts for the baby and £45 of JL vouchers. No idea what we'll buy with those but I'm sure we'll find something once she's here.

Going to go and meet OH in a minute in the city for a drink, we had a big row yesterday over something really stupid and I was a complete and utter mess. I don't think he quite understands these pregnancy hormones, either that or he was too tired to deal with me. I spent the best part of 3hrs in tears and couldn't get myself to come out of it. He's now saying he wants us to see a counsellor about my anger issues :( I can be very quick to snap/bite and I think the increase in oestrogen lately is making me a lot worse. I know as a teenager the pill that was high in oestrogen sent me quite loopy and I only settled down after I came off that particular one.

Right I should probably get out of my pyjamas and get into something more presentable. Hope you all have a lovely weekend. x

The weekend away isn't for another 2 weeks yet :p

I've had a lovely weekend though and met a lady that lives just down the road, she's due a few weeks after me :) Funnily enough she's also had her thyroid removed, although that was because it was over-active not due to cancer. We got off swimmingly and we're going to meet up again :)

I'm having a terrible time sleeping at the moment :( bump is at the stage of making me 4 times my usual width and I can't seem to find a position that's comfortable when I'm in bed :(

We've been out to a 2yr olds birthday this afternoon and I'm cream crackered. There's nothing on the tele due to Ch1ldren in need grrr. OH has moved his computer away from the wall I want to paint though, so that's on the cards for tomorrow before the furniture arrives. His watch is also turning up tomorrow :D yay. Right I'm off to read through some diaries before I plonk myself off to bed :) Hope you all had lovely weekends x
