Oh my goodness it appears to have been over a year since I wrote on here...Izzie is going to be a whole 2 years old a week on Monday...where has the time gone?
I've decided I really need to get a handle on our finances. We're not in debt outside of the mortgage, but we are spending a ridiculous amount of money each month and we'd really like to start doing some work to the house. So here I am, back on my diary to try to reign it in

Statement doesn't currently reflect anything other than bills as I have absolutely no idea what we're spending on clothes, food etc. It also only reflects that we put £1400 each into our joint account each month. The £82 child benefit we were putting into Izzie's savings account but the last few months we've been using it for purchases.
My craft businesses are not currently paying for anything in the household.
Goals for 2016:
- exercise more (cross trainer arriving tomorrow, cost £59)
- flylady every day
- save to build a workshop at the bottom of the garden (£10k)
- save for second baby (£6k)
- build up both craft businesses
- gain control of finances againDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Kerri , its so lovely to see you back. I cant believe that Izzie is nearly two years old, it only seems like yesterday when you announced that you were expecting baby bump and I can remember clearly waiting for news of her arrival !! How time flies !
I am determined to get back on track with the help of the diary as well, hence my reappearance on here again recently.
Best of luck with everything, love your new plans especially for baby number 2 ! xxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Thanks Mrs PG
I can't quite believe it myself either.
Yesterday was a bit of a bleh day, Izzie trapped her thumb in the car door last week so hasn't been sleeping well whilst the nail falls off and keeps catching *vom* But I did manage to take over £140 in sales from my fabric shop and another £20ish from my headbands. Money from headbands has gone towards overdraft fees (whoops) and I'm contacting a supplier to purchase some more elastic for the fabric shop as I've run out of some colours so that will eat up the £140 made yesterday.
I did some fly-ladying yesterday...not much but enough to feel that I did some cleaning
Another tough nights sleep last night but I'm determined to get on with things today. I have a lot of orders that I need to process eep.
Signature updated to reflect mortgage payments made over the first 19 months of its life and I've paid my Dad back some pennies too
Onwards...Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Nice to "see" you too Brizzled
I'm getting my very own shedquarters tomorrow for all my lovely craft things and OH is going to spend the weekend putting it together for me. It's a whopping 12ft x 10ft
We've got about £288 left in the current account, £186 left in the online saver and hoping to save as much as possible before OH gets paid on the 25th so just over a week to go.
My little business is doing well at the moment, takings so far this month have been just over £700. I've decided to set myself a goal of £100 a day in revenue. I'm currently around the £50 a day mark without taking into account my headbands & bows, so not bad for only opening in November. I realised today that my website is not being found by Google at all, so have put in things to sort that out. Fingers crossed I'll be starting to be found soon.
Dinner tonight was at Mr S cafe for about £15 for all 3 of us. We really need to stop going out for food, but I had to go get food for the cats and I. was climbing the walls hungry after having to go to Bitton to collect OH from the bus.
HV coming for I.'s 2yr check, then we've got a toddler birthday party lunch and I need to get some work done and buy a present in between eep!Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:
