Have sent even more documentation across to the mortgage company. The landlord here has apparently served us notice to quit. So I shall await that in the post. I had a bloke from the council come to look at our house today to tell me if it is safe or not. He says it is safe according to them, so I'm happy that it's not going to adversely affect Izzie. The kitchen ceiling has been partially done and the bathroom is no closer to being finished than it was before. The LL told the bloke from the council that the house had been decorated magnolia...erm no it hadn't and I have photographic proof that it hadn't. I think we're going to have a battle on our hands at the end of the tenancy over our deposit, thank goodness it's held in one of those schemes these days. They didn't take an inventory so the onus is on them to provide proof of how the property was before.
In other news, Izzie has been rolling over for a week now and it's her favourite thing to do. I've just discovered that she loves her white noise app and will go from screaming to asleep within 60 seconds if I put it on for her, winner.
This is what Izzie looks like now at 4.5 months, I think it's a FAB photo
My sister had her 3rd little boy today weighing 6lb 2oz, but he's in NICU with respiratory problems and suspected infectionHope he gets better soon.
I think I've found a Montessori childminder for Izzie, I go back to work in November after all the holiday I have to take before I go back. I want a childminder that will be an extension of our home rather than something completely opposite to what we are trying to teach her. I don't want a naughty step or anything like that.
Oooh and OH is going to propose! He's promised he will. He says he needs to go to West Wales and get his step-dad to make a ring (he's a jeweller), so I've requested Welsh gold and not a diamond.
We have lots of yummy veg growing in our garden at the moment, the squirrel has attacked some of my nice young plants I put in at the weekendI need to find a way to stop him, I might have to buy him some peanuts to keep him away from the plants grrr.

Gosh it's been almost a month since I last posted. We're in the final stages of our house purchase, I think I might start a new diary once the mortgage starts to try to keep us on track. I'm starting to get onto the laptop a little bit more now.
Baby is now crawling, rolling and getting around the place quite quickly. She's 6 months on Friday, where has the time gone? She's learning so quickly, unfortunately she hasn't learnt what sleep is but then I've come to understand that unless you want to leave them to cry most babies instinctively do not sleep very well until they are a lot older.
We've started weaning, which is urm...messy!
We were going to go to Secret Garden Party festival at the end of the month, but we've sold out tickets for £60 profit and decided to put the money towards the house move which is imminent. I've told the solicitors that we want to complete around the 18th-21st and they've said it's possible. The solicitors report is currently in the post and should arrive tomorrow for us to sign and return, then it's onto the exchange.
I'm taking baby down to my parents Thursday - Monday for my Mum's birthday. Hoping to avoid my sister as much as possible as she doesn't have a nice word to say about Izzie. She'll always pick on what I've put her in.
I've bought one of those acupressure things that go on your arm for hayfever/rhinitis and although I've only had it on today, my nose feels surprisingly clear. Not sure if it's in my head but I shall update if it works as it'll save lots of pennies on antihistamines
I've also been selling things on gumtree to make some cash, plus we don't have to move them nowTrying to be MSE, and I'm sure I've cut our food budget from £300 to around £150 without really trying. Not sure how I've managed that, although we do eat an item out of the freezer most days.

We exchanged on the house on Friday and are completing this Friday
We've just sent our solicitors the last of the pennies. I'm so excited, but I'm also extremely stressed out and it's starting to show at the seams
I think I've been holding it together for so long that I'm struggling to keep it together for the last few days.
I've booked a removals company to move everything but we have 2 full days to get everything boxed and OH is out tonight AND tomorrow night! It's particularly tricky boxing things up AND looking after Izzie but I'm sure that we'll get there eventually.
We went to look at the new house yesterday and I forgot just how big our garden is. It's downhill and a complete sun trap with little wind, it's going to be lush.
I'm working through a list of people I need to call, council tax, water, internet and house insurance are all doneI'm trying to be as MSE as possible though.

Hello everybody, I need to start a MFW diary now
we're in, we've got a mortgage and the first payment goes out on the 15th (my birthday!). We got our full deposit back from the old place, so looks like we're going to have more than enough money in the bank for the first two payments. I get a full wage again at the end of October so not long to go now.
Izzie is walking around the furniture and crawling out of rooms after me already! Time has really flown. Although she's fairly time consuming so still find it hard to get onto the computer. I don't have her watch very much television as it hypnotises her, but this morning I've needed to look for some slow cooker recipes before I go to the supermarket as I'm running out of weaning ideas.
Off to the supermarket to get the ingredients for:
- Slow Cooked Macaroni Cheese
- Butternut Squash and Chickpea Coconut Curry
- Slow cooker lentils
- Slow cooker Spinach & Ricotta Lasagne
- Slow cooker lentil quinoa tacos
- Crockpot veggie loaded spaghetti sauce
- Slow cooker rice pudding (Mrs Pinot special)
Really hoping it'll help save pennies and mean we eat betterWe shall see.

Just about to make some slow cooker mac and cheese as well as some sweetcorn fritters for the small person. I think I'll make the fritters first so she can eat them whilst I start the mac n cheese.
I've got a big bowl of rice pudding that's been on the side for 2 days now, I think it'll have to get wingedwe weren't sure whether you could freeze rice pudding and reheat so didn't know what to do with the leftovers. I'll have to look that up I think.
