Congratulations NYD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay! So pleased for you! :j  :j
Dolly, sorry to hear your news about your OH's taxes. Maybe instead of YOU doing overtime, he might manage to find some extra work or overtime himself! Sometimes, in a relationship, I think one person tends to be more enthusiastic about something (like getting debtfree!) than the other one.
Speaking of which, my DH and I spent nearly €800 investigating a business idea (for DH, might I add) this month. And most of the €800 came out of my accounts . I don't think it will materialise either. We really don't have the type of capital needed to get properly started. That money could have been used in so many better ways. And I had to put some of the costs on my CC so the balance has gone back up a bit again.
On a more positive note, we met our bank manager again during the week with regard to reapplying for a mortgage. The meeting went well! DH still needs to get some paperwork for her, before she can send the application to the underwriters, but she seemed pleased with our debt-reducing progress. So I'm happy about that!
My little project for the coming fortnight is to apply to move my CC balance to a 0% interest on balance transfers account. If I do this and manage to clear the balance within the 6 month 0% timeframe, it would bring my debt-free date closer by 2 months!! (according to my snowballing app - it's called Debt Free and I find it really useful!) :j
Wishing everyone a good week ahead! xx CastleDebts: Credit Card: €6000 ---> €5050 Feb 25 \ Overdraft: Step 3/100

Hi All
i dropped my self in the s*** last week as a contractor i get paid every week but on a 4 week behind invoicing so last week was Xmas week pay but being under an umbrella company i am still an employee not self employed ,so i thought i was going to get holiday pay which i do but that is paid back to me every week as normal wage but listed on wage slip but is not clear that is holiday pay paid back so basically i cannot pay my normal bills and as budgets are tight as they already are a i am about £500 short i am glad i have a separate bank account to the one i pay my direct debits or i would have no money at all i think i going to have a chat with step change or the cab as i have also being paying the interest only part on the mortgage but the mortgage co want me to start paying the full amount again as well which will bust the finances oh well i now wait for them to start screaming for their cash which i havent got. i do not want any more credit either so a DMP lookes the only way to go.debt free as of 1/10/2014 and loving it :j

Made a few payments this month but waiting for statements to come in so I can get interest right. It's a bit OCD, but I don't like to declare payments until I know how much I've actually taken off the balances.
another small loss this week, I've now lost 15.5lbs since Xmas. :jLong haul supporter #290POAYDBX2014 #043LBM Dec 2011 Debt £51K Debt Nov 2014 £42K0
