  • Hi everyone - just wanted to say been lurking not posting recently but still here, plodding on. Life has been quiet - no overpayments, diet going badly, I've torn cartilage in my knee which has been agony and I've been diagnosed with IBS so have been a bit down (although it's not gallstones which was what they originally thought which is good news).
Positive news is that I was shortlisted for a new job which is a promotion and my interview is on Wednesday...eek. I know I'm self-sabotaging. Because I'm feeling down (and poorly) I'm thinking I won't get it so what's the point. I know what I need to do but any words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated right now.
Everyone on here is doing so well, well done ladies and gents and keep going with the weight loss too, you are doing brilliantly.

  • right, our final debt bill came in today, so we now know officially how much debt we owe

Our total is £12403.90. So far this year we have paid off £282.34. I make that 2.28% paid off, but have no idea if I have calculated this correctly or not!!! Can anyone help verify if I have done this correctly or not?

It feels good to finally have some numbers on the board! We kind of hoped to have paid off more than we have this month, but it has been tough. On the plus side, we have not added to our debts at all this month, so it isn't all bad. Trying to be positive!!

  • Hi Newlywed Ninja, yes that's right - 2.28%. It's just what you've paid/what you owe x 100.

Hi all, just checking in after being a bit quiet, I have been reading but mainly on my phone where I can't reply.

A massive well done to all the weight losers!! :T:T This must be the hardest time of year to do it so big respect.

I am struggling a bit at the moment to be honest....I think like a few of you I was hoping to really kick start things this month, but January has had other ideas and has just been about survival in the end, and just keeping our heads above water. I know its because its the longest month in the world, and that payday is just around the corner, but I'm finding at a bit hard to maintain the motivation. I think I need to join a few challenges - does anyone on here do any that you would recommend??

I'm so happy this thread is here, although I haven't been posting regularly just reading about fellow long timers and feeling like I'm not the only one in this little boat helps massively, so thanks people :)

Right, I'm off *wanders off to find a new challenge*
