My house can get freezing cos of it though so would hate to think of how much waste I am paying on my gas & leccie bills.

could you put up a thick curtain to stop the heat escaping. We have a wooden door with single pane glass and it's quite chilly. We had a thick curtain fitted so that when we're in and the heating's on it does seem to help to keep some of the heat in. It might not be ideal but it might help. x0 -
I just wanted to say you have all given me such a boost. I have been feeling really low over the last week, we haven't managed to pay much extra than minimum payments this month due to recovering from the wedding/honeymoon/Christmas/New Year, and it has got me down a bit. Once I decide to do something (in this case, get debt free) I am impatient, and I really hoped we would be able to pay a bit extra off things this month. It has been a tough month for us and no mistake, though I suppose I should look on the positive side of things in that at least we have not increased our debt at all this month.Co-op loan: £2672.38. £2886.64 / £5559.02

I probably haven't made much sense in my above post! What I mean by a boost, is that it is great hearing about everyone's successes and and achievements, I hope to add a few of mine next month too!!!Co-op loan: £2672.38. £2886.64 / £5559.02

You know what hon there arent always gonna be times when you can overpay.
Thats fine - As long as you stick with us & we will get there in the end.
Dont let it get you down & I know this is easier said than done but we are all in the same boat.
I have really up days then really down days & it always makes me feel better to come on here.
We are all in this together.

Hello just checking in... still here, still plodding on......
I havent managed much of an overpayment this month and i think it might be a bit of a dry spell til after easter :icotbaske But i am trying to pay the overdrafts back - i have two  but if i dont make extras to the CCs then i can be in the black by the end of March on the account i make my DD payments and debt payments from, so then all can be resumed.. The other account hopefully by abit later in the year as i pay shopping and stuff from it so cutting down shopping will bring me back into the black on that one there...
I have to admit to some sales shoppingbut i have now sorted just about all my birthdays this year, birthday cards and most of my xmas shopping for this year so all good.. Just thought i dont wanna run out to get pressies for birthdays and find i have to pay alot of money for something cos i am being soooo last minute..:rotfl:
for all who need them.....
And think i need to start with the weight loss next week, not really bothered and i really really need to...
Onwards and downwardsUpdating .................................................

i'm like you Cranny44 - 2 overdrafts which reallywant to get sorted as soon as possible. It will help me to feel that the money in the bank is actually mine (and not theirs) and it will tally better with my spreadsheet!
All I have managed to get done this month is to (almost) get the credit cards onto 0% so I'm hoping no 'payments' this month and to try to not go over the overdraft and into the blasted reserve. Bank charges in Jan were £129.00, that on top of car tax, £150 for new tyres after the slashing incident nearly broke me, but so far have managed to keep within the allotted overdraft this month - (apart from a one day blip when I took my eye off the ball) so, fingers crossed there's still a week to go until I get paid but I'm hopeful. Bank charges for Feb total £60.?? so still charges, but I'm hoping to reduce that to £0 for next month and keep it at that. One step at a time is about all I can seem to manage at the moment. x0 -

Know exactly how you feel, you too NSN, this month has been very tight and I thought I'd actually stayed in my overdraft limit so would have no additional charges this month. Haven't been able to overpay anything but was thinking its ok because by not going over limit is equivalent of overpaying IYKWIM. Check bank statement and because went over limit between 18 and 20 dec and my od period starts on 19, they are charging me another £25 for privilege!!
Was feeling more positive until I saw that
Just have to keep telling myself it will be the last time.Number of debts between us - 3 (2 @ 0%)0
