  • Gosh I'm tired, I can't shake this headache and just can't get going!!

Some bits and pieces have been done from the list but I need to get some more done. The washer is on and I feel that I 'should' sort out the washing that's dried and get it done.

I need to get the washing up done and get the kitchen looking in some sort of semblance.

Dinner for the kids is sorted, just ours to do tonight.

An early night tonight I think for me, that should then give me enough energy to get going tomorrow and smash my list (hopefully!)

    Hi Purple

Sorry to hear you are struggling with a headache today.

Thats one hell of a list. I should have something very similar written down but not got there yet.

Hope you feel better tomorrow after an early night.

    Happy New Year.xx

    Good morning,

I didn't go to bed 'that' early last night but I did sleep rather well and feel a lot better for it....I did have a weird dream that I was getting married  :rotfl:Having looked it up online, it's supposed to be a good meaning.

Anyhow, apart from planned spending yesterday and today, I can count two NSD's :D I think I need to write it down on here what I count as a planned spend so that I know exactly when I achieve a NSD...I will be back over that one!

DH gave me his expenses to post, so will do that whilst I'm out.

Today I need to get DH his NicAssist gum, I did try yesterday so that I wouldn't need to go out today but the local Boots didn't have any, so will go to the next town today first as they tend to have a lot more. I'm tempted to buy a job lot once DH gets paid and then just give him the odd one when he's running out to save me the trips.

Spoke to DH about the bills account and he said no he wants to leave it as it is, he said that we'll forget to transfer the money over and that it'll be too much hassle. So looks like I need to work on him or our budgetting!

I'm determined to crack on with my list today and get a lot done, so the kids had better watch out!

ETA - Online banking checked and spreadsheet updated, we've had the overdraft fees taken out too.
  • A quick update, I forgot to post DH's expenses! Whoops! Will go for a walk with the kids later and post them.

Managed to cross something off my list on the first page...I've changed gas/electric suppliers to M&S Energy, I'm not sure how good they will be but they will allegedly save me more than we're getting at the moment so worth a go :D

Got DH's gum so he's sorted for a while.

Washing is more or less done, one load left to go in the washer and dried washing has been sorted and just needs putting away.

Dinner tonight is currently being sorted and have managed to cross a few more bits off my list that I posted yesterday :D

    So far, so good.

productive morning for you :) glad your migraine has shifted :)

  • Took a deep breath and checked the credit cards; considering it is after Christmas and I was expecting it to be a lot worse than it is, we owe:

    Virgin - £729.92
    Barclaycard - £4274.63

    Total Owed: £5004.55

I was expecting a heck of a lot more than that, so it goes to show that we can resist when we need to.

So I think I need to attack the Virgin card first as this has the lowest amount on it and Virgin bugs the hell out of me!

Have made a big decision and the current amount of money I have hanging about in change (but not the demi-john), I will pay a chunk off it and then over pay some more when DH gets paid.

Then I will restart again towards my original plan.
  • I love being impulsive some times.

Total change hanging about was £58.00, as such I added that to £1.92 and have paid that off the Virgin.

Total owed on that card is a nice round £670.00, which will reduce further once DH gets paid.

    Total owed now - £4944.63 :D

Need to update my sig so I know where we stand.

Wow thats a fab amount of change hanging around the house. I get excited if I find a 20p...:rotfl:

Well done hun, £670 sounds an achievable amount to pay off in a short time. Will feel lovely when that has gone :T
  • I so agree Steph; whilst we have some fairly 'quiet' months I want to try and get rid of it or most of it at least.
