I can't go under it, I can't go over it...I'll have to go through it....Part 2

  • So here it is....Monday again :)

A lot of things to get going with this week and a lot that I'm quite excited about.

The bad news though is that DH told me that his weekly parking and train travel has gone up to £78.70  The good news though is that DH's company pays back all of it, still we have to find it first though.

The alcohol reduction starts this week for me too with the aim to eventually cut it out totally during the week.

Cleaning jobs start again this week and I'll pay them in to the bank as they will be needed...it's £33 a week and will keep us a float until payday (with any luck).

Also just remembered that we have the CB to be paid in this week, that'll help a bit.

The car has enough petrol in it to last until DH gets paid next week.

DH bought me a pedometer over the weekend and got a good deal on it too....it was £10, reduced to £6 and then reduced to £3 :D and the good news is that it works, so am aiming to use this on a daily basis.

I've checked the online banking and have updated my spreadsheets.

I've got a fair few bits to get done this week and today I need to make sure that the kids have everything sorted for school tomorrow.
  • Hi purplemum, you sound very organised.

Good that your DH gets his travel expenses back, thay are huge.

I've been thinking of getting a pedometer, i would love to know how many miles a day I do running around at work.

Hope you have a good day.
  • Morning Purple,

Your hubby got a good bargain with the Pedometer. Do you go running, or is it just to find out how many miles you cover in a day chasing after children etc.

Hope your monday goes well. xx

As much as I would love to go running, I can't due to my back problem but I do love to walk and I'm curious to see just how much I walk even chasing after the kids lol
  • Morning Purple :) you've reminded me that I need to look into a new pedometer ...... mine broke :(

I did try an app on my phone but a) I don't carry my phone everywhere with me so it missed a load of steps and b) it was really annoying as it seemed to reset itself every so often .... VERY annoying when you were around 5 miles into a walk:eek:

    Have a good day :)

I was the same, I downloaded one that was supposed to work but did the same thing and annoyed the hell out of me; thankfully it was a free app or I'd have been very annoyed. x

Part of getting organised this year includes sorting the housework. I've had a look at the Flylady thread for today and will try and get most of it done today and every day. I did sort of loose my mojo and should also help with the weightloss if I do the housework vigorously enough.

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    Clean floors in these rooms
    Level Two
    [STRIKE]Clear and clean kitchen surfaces[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Clean cupboard door fronts [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the
    front
    [/STRIKE]

Wipe dining table, polish if required (clean table cloth if necessary)
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining room, checking for cobwebs on way round
    Clean fronts of appliances
Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky
    Extra Mission:

    Choose one or more of:
    • Clean inside of fridge
    • Clean a window or 2 in these rooms
    • [STRIKE]Clean OVEN, yes I know you all hate that one wonder how
      many choose it
      [/STRIKE]
    • Clean tops of kitchen cupboards and high places (if safe to do so-if you're pregnant delegate the job to someone else!!!)
    • Check the fridge contents, anything that has gone fuzzy? Anything you can use in this weeks meal plan? How about making use-it-up soup:D Anything leaking that needs wiping?
  • wow thats alot of cleaning :o. Feel quite ashamed.

where's the bit that says "Spend half the day surfing MSE?" :o:o:o:o
  • Lol I wondered about that one too. Must be an error :)

    :D me too!

I have managed to tear myself away long enough to pick a chicken carcass and put stock on .....:T really must go & get on tho!

I've never been able to get into having a list for cleaning / daily routine - why would I need to remind myself to make my bed etc? Sorry, I just don't get it:o

However, it's also a bit odd as I have lists for just about everything else :rotfl:
