  • I've never been able to get into having a list for cleaning / daily routine - why would I need to remind myself to make my bed etc? Sorry, I just don't get it:o

I am one of those that does need a list to tell me what needs doing otherwise the whole house goes to pot and I end up doing nothing :o

Went to the Doctors this morning to pick up DH's prescription only to find out that it wasn't done  I explained that DH needs it today and was told to come back later...Have rung the Doctors and although it has been printed off I can't pick it up until 3pm <sigh!> Still as long as he gets it today that'll be ok.

Kitchen almost sorted, just a few bits to complete then its done.

Going to attempt to make chicken and bacon pie this afternoon for dinner this evening or possibly for tomorrow.

I can "get" this as if I don't make lists for other things ... nothing gets done (usually as I forget!) but just don't "get it" for stuff like making the bed..... maybe it's because when I was at school a morning routine was drummed into us - which has actually pretty much stuck with me even now!

Pants to the prescription - at least they're doing it tho'

  • I think a lot of it is routine and learning to get in to that routine, which I never have done and also comes down to the organisation side of things too, which alas also slips my grip.

As for the bed....hmm mine rarely gets made except at bed time....I cannot go to sleep unless it is straight and the quilt has to be equal at either side...DH thinks I'm obsessed with it.

Great bargain on the pedometer. I keep meaning to get one to find out how many steps I DON'T walk! I did have a free one but it didn't work properly.
  • I luuuuurve lists.

Hubby thinks I get into too much detail with my lists.

I like small achievable things, like

    Get up
    Brush teeth
    Eat breakfast
    drink coffee
:rotfl:i'm not quite that bad, but nearly:)

I will sit on here all day if i don't set myself some targets.

Good Morning, first day back at work and school today :D

Had a palava with DH's prescription yesterday, there's a manufacturing problem and no chemist has the thing that DH needs so had to go back to the Doctor's to get them to sort an alternative...will go back this morning to hopefully collect a new prescription!

Made a chicken and ham pie last night and it turned out ok :D Photo up on FB for those that know me on there. DH even said I can make it again :) now if only my other homemade stuff turned out like that :rotfl:

Have checked online banking and the CB has been paid in, so that gives us a little breather until next week. I haven't updated my spreadsheet yet but will do later.

I can class yesterday as a NSD as I did a mini top up shop and didn't spend on anything else not part of the shop. I did forget a few things (I think I need a list for Tesco's nowadays! :rotfl:) so will have to go back today.

DH was chuffed with how to kitchen turned out yesterday...makes me realise just how bad it had got in there, so back to flyladying today as much as I can.

    [/STRIKE]

Wipe the bits next to the steps on the stairs, yours might be skirting board, edging of some sort, grab a cloth and give it a wipe

Extra Mission Tasks - as usual if you fancy tackling something else you could try one or more of these
    • Clean windows in these areas, check curtains/nets/blinds while you are there, do they need a clean?
    • Check where important documents like passports, birth certificates, driving licences, medical cards are and make a note of where they are and if any need replacing, changing etc
    • Spend 15 minutes sorting paperwork, dealing with anything urgent NOW
    • Clean any ornaments, mirrors, clocks or other dust collecting collections
    • Clean out the vacuum cleaner, empty the bag/bucket, clean filters if they are washable MAKE SURE YOU DON'T PUT THEM BACK UNTIL THEY ARE DRY!
Have a good day and I'll be back later x

I'm a bit confused about the flylady thing .... (really should look into it more but I come over all errrr glazed ... whenever I try :o) - why are there / what are the 3 levels?

Have a good morning purple :)

  • Productive morning so far, washing up done, dried and put away before the school run; I really want to try and get this done every morning.

Walked the kids to school and they didn't complain :)

Went to the Doctor's and picked up DH's new prescription and went to chemist to get it.

Went to Tesco's and got the bits I forgot yesterday.

I was tempted when I came out to say sod it and go to the next town and spend money but resisted...it was hard but I did it.

Rising - The three levels I think are so that you don't feel too overwhelmed by it all. I 'try' to get all three levels done but some days find that I only get one or two done. It just helps me stay focussed.
