  • Yawn....morning!

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday :D The kids got spoilt rotten.

DS woke up yesterday morning at 4.10am feeling sick and I don't think he went back to sleep properly after that and was a bit off colour all day; he woke this morning at 6.30 complaining of stomach ache again so I gave him Calpol and he went back to sleep and is still there. I'm hoping that it's nothing sinister and just general overtiredness and that a LOT of sleep will sort him out.

Nothing to report money wise as I've not checked the bank account yet, I don't intend to until after New Year, unless I need to of course.

Have updated the lists for the £2 and 20p Savers threads.

Hope everyone has a good day xx
  • Hope your son feels better soon.

  • Morning, I hope everyone had a great Christmas and looking forward to the New Year.

DS a lot better although DH had a bout of it too, we think they both had a strain of the Novovirus but without the grusome bits just the dizziness and general feeling roughness.

I've got a small grip on the spreadsheets and have restarted putting the details of the bank account on it, that way I can see every month how much we are spending on groceries etc, rather than trawling through the statements each month and find out where we are hemmoraging money.

A few 20p's have been added to the hippo pot, a £2 coin added to the terramundi and some change added to the demi-john.

I have rejoined the NSD challenge for January and have pledged 10 again, I need to get a grip on this one!

My plan today is to go through the freezer/fridge and cupboards and get a small top up shop to last us until DH gets paid on the 15th.

We got the gas/electric bill through today, I did request that it was put back to quarterly but this appears to have fallen on deaf ears at E.on, however I'm not too disappointed as monthly may be easier than trying to find a whole heap of money in one go...As the bill is only estimated, I need to check the figures and see if we owe more money or not.

Have a good day everyone xx

Hello purple mum just been reading your thread, best of luck, I'm hoping to have a few NSD too but maybe really cheeky, what's SPC?? I'm not used to all the acronyms on here :o

  • Hiya, SPC is the Sealed Pot Challenge x
  • Good afternoon and Happy New Years Eve Eve lol

DH has gone out on his bike again...we got him a gadget that he can put on his bike and it holds his iPhone in place so he can use it for maps, music etc.

Dinner has been sorted for today.

Bank account checked....I know I said I wasn't going to but I couldn't resist...not a lot left but we are waiting on the CB to come in and once DH goes back to work next week, we'll have a few NSD's before he gets paid.

More change has been sorted and squirrelled away in their respective pots.

Nothing much else to report at the moment, just on count down now until 2013.

Good morning, I hope everyone had a fantastic New Year

DH has gone to work this morning, I did feel sorry for him but I'm glad things are getting back to normal-ish. Kids go back to school next week and I go back to work too.

Have woken up with a migraine so not feeling too bright, will take some painkillers and get myself motivated, that should help shift it.

I've checked the online banking and have updated my spreadsheet...Considering we've had Christmas, we've got some money left in the bank, which theoretically should last us until he gets paid. I start cleaning again next week and we have the CB to come in yet as well.

I haven't checked the credit cards yet...I'm waiting a few days until it's caught up after the festivities, that way I'll have a good base to start kicking it.

DH and I are going to try and cut out the alcohol during the week and only drink at the weekends...this will be hard at first but will save us some money and will improve our health.

So on to this week (or what's left of it), I need to try and get the house in some sort of order before I go back to work and the hecticness restarts, so my list looks like this:

    [STRIKE]Change the kids beds[/STRIKE]
    Hoover through
    Sort the washing out
    [STRIKE]Do the washing[/STRIKE]
    Clean the glass
    Polish/dust
[STRIKE]Sort out the kids P.E kits for next week[/STRIKE]
    Sew DS's school jumpers
Photograph the kids clothes and upload to FB
    [STRIKE]Meal plan for the week[/STRIKE]
Sort food order out....this needs sorting :)
    [STRIKE]Sort finances[/STRIKE]
    Read with the kids
    Tidy the lounge/dining room
    DD's homework
Send off kids school photo to my mum
Clean kitchen - Done hob and microwave so far!
    [STRIKE]Tesco's for top up shop[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Boots and Superdrug [/STRIKE]

That will keep me going :D

Things happening in January/February that need to be taken in to account

DH has the dentist - £200 (this will probably go on the credit card as we have no fund in place yet)
    DH's birthday
DH has his aviation medical - £TBC again this will have to go on the credit card it is every two years so not major.
DH has a hospital appointment for three teeth to come out
My car needs servicing (this will be paid for with my cleaning money)

Okay, off to get some painkillers and get sorted.
