Good morning....it's the last week of term and the last week of work for me
Mega busy week for me though with lots of running around to do; I'll be glad when it's Friday
Need to nip to Makro this morning and pick up some laundry bits and cheese.
I need to go to the Dtr's and pick up DH's prescription then head over to the chemist and get it.
Need to check what presents we've got the kids today so I can adjust it and either buy more (doubtful) or save some for birthdays (probable).
Have checked the online banking and updated my spreadsheet, I need to try and not spend a lot and avoid Tesco's unless necessary!
Although DH didn't get a bonus, he did get a 2.5% payrise which was included in this months pay, it equates to an extra £50 per month...not a lot but not going to say no to it.
Got 3x£2 coins over the weekend and I put these in my terramundi pot, I'm going to leave these until the New Year before I bank them.
Got a 20p coin and have put that in the hippo pot, these I'm also going to let build up until the New Year.
Went to SiL's and saw the rest of the inlaws, was a fantastic day, presents exchanged too.
Hurry up 2013! I'm raring to go, want to get sorted and move on.
Have a good day everyone x0 -

LOL I'm like that too - by the time it comes to the start of Dec ... I'm really ready to move on and start budgets afresh, the new challenges etc

Something else to add to the growing list on the first page...see about permanetly changing the Water Rates and Council Tax over to 12 months.
I think that Council Tax already is/was but will need to check in April when they send the new bills out.
I need/want to sort out all spreadsheets; I would like one for Groceries and one for Savings and one for the Debt besides the one for the Current Account that I presently use.
Oh dear! I think I'm getting obsessed0 -
Morning only four days left until the end of term and work for me :j Sooo looking forward to it.
Have checked online banking and updated my spreadsheet also I've thinking about how I can do the other spreadsheets.
Went to Makro yesterday so I'm all sorted until after Christmas
I'm off to see my friend and his wife today and drop their present off. It'll be the last time before 2013 arrives and my mum has sent a parcel to be delivered today, so will need to keep an eye out for it.
20p added to my hippo pot and 20p added to the demi-john yesterday.
Walked home from school yesterday with the kids and planning on walking to school this morning, will decide about this afternoon depending on when the parcel arrives and if I need to go and pick it up.0 -
Morning,
It never rains but it pours doesn't it? DS turned the tap off in the bathroom when he was brushing his teeth and now it doesn't work...DH has looked at it and tried to sort it but nope, we need a new one.
I've had to put my cleaning job off until tomorrow, which means I'll be cleaning tomorrow and Friday, still at least it's money. I feel bad as I've had to put the poor woman off at least three times recently, hope she doesn't get fed up or I'll lose the job and I can't risk it.
Anyhow a trip to B&Q is on the cards this morning...I still have a gift card from last year that my mum gave us, so will use that to get the new taps; we need a shower hose as well so will get both at the same time.
Had a NSD yesterday so was pleased with that, will possibly be one today too depending on today.
I've got washing to do today...such an exciting life I lead.
I've checked the online banking and updated my spreadsheet, everything at the moment seems to be ok, we're waiting on DH's expenses to come in and I get paid this week instead of next week.
Heck, I need to go to the bank too and pay in the cheque my mum sent for her Park payment. Going to be a busy day today...Sigh!!
Off to have a shower and get motivated, have a good day xx0 -
Pants to the tap:(.... you're right, it never rains! At least you've got the vouchers:)

Hi
Shame about the tap breaking, thats what scares me, as we have no emergencies pot. At least you saved up the voucher. Well done you :T.
I am the same as you, wishing for Christmas to be over and back to money saving. If I could I would fast forward to July. think we will have made good head way by then and I would be hitting my credit cards hard with over-payments. I do hope I get there before I lose the will to keep budgeting. think you friends on here will stop that happenning as long as I log in.
Good luck to you too.
only 3 more working days to go xx0 -

Pay 6 months car tax in September when they are due, this is to shift them to March 2014 when it will be easier to pay for them for a year.
I had that problem, when I bought my current car.
Bought it in July, with slightly more than 12 months MOT and, stupidly, put 12 months tax on it.
As a result, I had to do the Road Tax and MOT in June, and the Insurance at the beginning of September.
However, I only put 6 months Road Tax on in June, meaning it's now MOT in June/July, Insurance in September, and Road Tax in December. :cool:Christmas 2013
Yes I did really write that! I'm almost sorted for that
I've got Christmas sorted forever.0
