    You all okay? x
  • Hi purple, glad your feeling a bit brighter.

Can't remember how old your children are, but could you have a baking afternoon I you have the ingredients in. what about your local library my kids love it just for the novelty of new books, you could also borrow some kids craft books and make bits and pieces from junk. what about them having a play date or a sleepover with a friend.
These are a few things my children have done over the past week, I havn't spent a penny on taking them anywhere expensive, only place we have gone out of the house in the last week was a Easter party in the village cost me £4 in total and the kids did various crafts, also egg rolling and a quiz, they got their lunch and an easter egg each, was a real bargain, also went to the library, apart from that they have had friends over or gone to friends.

Hope your having a good weekend PWPS
  • Good morning and Happy Sunday.

Drank far too much Merlot last night and I feel a bit groggy this morning. That'll teach me!

Managed a NSD yesterday, went to Sainsbury's and bought some food bits but nothing else.

Aiming for an AFD today, need to drink something other than diet coke and lemonade though.

Took the kids around the local airfield twice on their bikes, the sun was shining and the kids enjoyed it and it was free :D and the kids played out in the garden too. Really hoping that we have Summer at last now.

Meal plan worked out for the four weeks from when DH gets paid and I've adjusted my shopping list accordingly with what I need to pick up. This month's shopping will not end up costing us £600+

Expecting a good day today, cooked breakfast when DH surfaces and then figure out what we're going to do the rest of today.

    Have fun everyone x

  • Good morning,

Wasn't about much last week mainly due to the Easter holidays, but am aiming to be back to normal this week.

DH has been paid today and I'm glad, last 'month' was a bad one and we grossly overspent, not a good thing and not one I want to repeat in a hurry.

So moving on this month and learning from this experience and hopefully we will get through intact.

Inset day today for my two but alas not for me :( they're going to my friends house down the road whilst I go to work.

Things on the job front appear to have settled down, still not heard anything from the insurance one but am applying for as much as possible.

Shopping is coming this morning and I'm going to try and keep to a budget...meal plan for the month has been worked out and just needs tweaking.

Aim this week is for 4 AFD and 5 NSD's. I've got meat to get and I've some Lego bits to get tomorrow morning. The Lego is part of DS's birthday fund so I'm not counting it and the lady I'm buying it off only lives down the road :)

My challenge this week is to avoid Tesco's...You and I both know how hard that will be for me, I need to make sure that I have everything in for meals etc so that I avoid dropping in for the odd bits (that usually leads to buying unnecessary stuff!) :o

Need to fill my car up with petrol and see how long I can make it last, walking to and back from school with the kids and if the weather holds, walking to work...work is approx and hour away and there's two huge hills and a train station in between but is a nice walk when the weather is great.

Right off to get sorted, lots to do before I leave the house. Will update later x

Good to see you back :) x
  • Good morning,

Kids go back to school today :j and normality returns :j

AFD and NSD to add to the collection yesterday, trying really hard this week to get things under control.

Got some Lego to pick up this morning £5 spent but its coming off DS's birthday fund, so should be a NSD today.

Am over at the Juniors side of the school today, so have to be at work for 10am, so an hour and half overtime for me :D

DH has just reminded me that I need to take DS's bike round to the bike shop to get the chain sorted, it needs a couple of links taken out...that's going to mess up my NSD's but it'll be worth it as DS loves his bike.

Checked online banking and everything so far has come out.

Shopping bill so far is up to £311.18, a lot I know but some things I've bulked up on and this also includes some alcohol; to be fair I was expecting it to be a lot higher so again something I'm trying to control and we did spend well over £600 last month

Right off to get showered and sorted, have a good day everyone xx
  • Morning,

Another AFD and NSD added to the pot yesterday, my lack of sleep due to no alcohol is getting better and tonight will be my third in a row.

Checked the online banking and all is going ok (so far).

Walking to school this morning with the kids and possible home to depending on what time I get out of work.

Over at the Junior's side early again today so another hour and a half overtime, back to normal on Thursday though.

Aiming for a NSD today, which should be easy to achieve.

Haven't had any chance to clean so far this week but once I've dropped the kids off I'm going to get the washing up done and get the washer going before we leave the house.

Right got lots to sort, have a good day x
